Thanks! I always think of things as equations, everything has to have an action for it to make sense to me. This really helps with my layups, before now I only had the footsteps in mind. My coach only talked about the footwork for layups, this confused me on how I should shoot as it felt awkward (left hand, I’m more dominant right handed, currently working on control with my less dominant hand).

Pay attention to what ur aiming for 👇 00:45 regular layup aim for top corner or right above the middle of the square 2:22 across layups, aim for right above regular middle of the square or the opposite top corner (will help you mentally compensate for the negative movement) add a thumb rotation 😀 4:45 goofy hand layup, finish tighter to the backboard, aim for the middle of the square 5:40 goofy hand reverse, aim for the opposite corner or right above the middle, pinky rotation 8:06 practice all the finishes, 10 reps each

Then you need to go practice more in the gym, or if you have a goal at home. A video will not help you, you got to do what's comfortable to you when making a layup. This guy is doing the same thing, you could be shorter or maybe taller. Hit the small box IT WILL GO IN FIND YOUR COMFORT SPOT and do that.

The main difference is that your eyes are looking for an aiming point where to put the ball and a transparent backboard makes it difficult and irritates what our brain is used to with a solid backboard. Playing more often on courts with transparent backboards will get you used to it. Another thing is how backboards are mounted as through different setups they might tend to let the ball bounce more or less. Also something which you cannot simulate at your homecourt, so go train more often on different courts to get faster at adjusting to different backboards. Just my two cents...
