The SLIDE OF FAITH is a massive hidden natural waterslide in Eaton Canyon, the "crown jewel" of Southern California's San Gabriel Mountains. Most people know of the popular Eaton Falls hike, but our fun starts far above that "last" waterfall with a full technical canyoneering descent. I've waited seven long years to tackle this slide and FINALLY the stars have aligned to give me a shot at my white whale.

Crazy to see him do a hike I used to do with buddies back in college. We never had the proper gear like him. Now days you can get a fine if they catch you back there due to a rise in deaths and injuries.

I grew up in Altadena not far from Eaton Canyon, in the 60[s it was the playground of my youth, We called that slide the 2nd falls but there was a staircase that went up just before the more famous 1st falls and once at the top you could either go through a tunnel or over the top and down, turn left it took you to the slide go right to the falls upstream which had a nice big pool for skinny dipping

@@JesseStLouis Tunnel still there, the stairs are gone, deemed dangerous, the other way was a ridge line route that is very dangerous and the source of many rescues injuries and deaths. in fact just accessing the 2nd falls is technically illegal.

@driverdick2 maybe accessing the falls via hiking is illegal but canyoneering from the top is certainly not. I've heard that the side of the tunnel inside the canyon is now walled off and so it's not usable anymore but I've never seen the wall or anything like a tunnel before
