I felt the same way with the Lux Series. The covers were super cheesy so I thought the books would be too. But as we both found out that the writing is great and so is the story! I just finished the third book, and i'm excited to continue on to the next! This was a great video. Thanks for also introducing us to a new app. I'll have to check it out.

I really didn't want to read them either, obviously because of the covers! I only got the first two books even though I'm hesitant about them because BookOutlet had it for $2.

Rachel Hannah 2 dollars is awesome. These books are perfect examples of don't judge a book by it's cover. They are really well written. The main character loves to read and blog about books so she's relatable. The books are also pretty funny and action packed. :) My vote is to read them!

I liked the first 2 books but then I read the third and felt it was an overload of the romance for me. I liked the first two but I was kind of disappointed

The writing is fantastic but all the steamy love scenes made me really uncomfortable. I sat there reading by my mom and felt awkward. My mom was like what are you reading? That cover doesn't look right.

I also read The Lightning Thief in November. I hope I can finish this series in 2015 😊 I didn't find it too childish at all, and because I was reading a lot of YA novels, it was a breath of fresh air 😊 I loved the titles on every chapters.

So interesting to see what you thought of ignite me!:) the reasons you had mixed feelings were the reasons I adored the whole trilogy so much, character development is what I look for in a book and I loved it because it was more about juliette than the plot. I love seeing different opinions about things I enjoy, so nice to know there's a broad variety out there ahah. Taherehs writing is soo good, I completely agree :D

I just bought Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief a little while ago at Barnes and Noble and I was kind of skeptic reading it because it's a middle grade book. I've seen both of the movies and adored the movies. I also love greek mythology so I thought, let's give it a try. It's on my tbr list. It's nice to know I'm not the only one whose not read the series yet! :P

All the hype surrounding The Lightning Thief made me want to read it so bad, but when I finally did I was SO disappointed, not that its not a good book, but it was too childish. Does it get better and more mature like Harry Potter did? Or is the whole series like this?

YES. I know I'm not jesse, but I personally have read all of the percy jackson and olympian series and the Heroes of Olympus series (which is a continuation of the series but that series probably feels more like YA. But you kinda have to read PJO before you read the Heroes of Olympus.). They are SO worth reading (well in my opinion. They are my second favorite series.) and they are just so amazing and it gets better and better with each book.
