Perhaps because there isn't much acting talent to utilise? By comparison, Jensen Ackles more-or-less launched his career the same way Alba did, in Dark Angel, and he's had a more noteworthy career. I enjoy his voice work as animated Batman and I really love him as Solder Boy. Nothing Jessica Alba has been in holds a candle to The Boys.

The reason why she is by far my number celebrity crush, is that not only is she effing stunning, but has a really endearing sweet cuteness to her too. Sometimes if a woman is 'only' beautiful, it can actually become plain and boring - that is, having a model-like face that always remains that way all of the time. You have to have cuteness too.
