Jessica Fox, acknowledged as the world’s greatest ever paddler, discusses the values her family instilled in her from a young age, adding that learning about the value of hard work and applying oneself to a task, was done with the great love and support of her parents. One of her earliest sources of pride was attending swimming training when there were days when she didn’t want to do it. Fox also revealed having parents who competed at Olympics meant she initially shied away from kayaking through the desire to forge her own path. However, when Fox had her first taste of riding the rapids on the Nepean River she thought it was great fun. She also dissects the dynamics of having her mother, Miriam, coaching her. The Tokyo Olympic champion also touches on the importance of having her sister, and best friend, Noemie, by her side. #nswislightsup
