i have never seen sportsmanship like this from a new world record holder. First thing she does is in check in with the rest of the competitors and give them all a hug. Wow how Brilliant

The camaraderie at the end is great to see. There's something special about just being in a race where something special happens like this. Just to be part of lining up on the start with someone who does something like this - you can always say, "I was literally right there when that happened." I was in a race once where the winner broke a Commonwealth Record. He absolutely thrashed us all, but you don't forget that you were part of it. My squad friend paced the winner for the first lap and ended up coming second. I can't even remember my own result - 4th or 5th I think - but you never forget being part of something like that.

I'm Aussie and I've never seen this young lady other than this being on the news the other day. Wow Jess just got faster and faster as the race went on, holy smoke. And the smile on her face got bigger and bigger too lol, awesome to see. I just watched an interview with Jess after the race she has never run the 2000M race before this was her first time, that makes this even more incredible.

Just a beautiful, humble and gracious person. She just broke a WR and the first thing on her mind was to congratulate her fellow competitors. Even in her post race interview she put that time into perspective when mentioning what Faith is capable of running. If gold medals were awarded for humility she'd be a winner... and for now she's a much deserved world record holder too. We love you Jess 🇦🇺❤️

Yes, I confirm! After the event she went out back on the track and was very kind with all.
