She said in her open book something like she’s meant to be with Nick for eternity. Just like in every relationship, there’s rough patches. They love each other. I think they separate because they both want family. They talked about kids on the Newlyweds. If it’s meant to be, it will come back to you.

Ya and from what it seemed and what I've read nick treated her sometimes like a sex objected after marriage but i might be wrong .. during the show he'd grab her and be like we're going in the bedroom and she never could be honest while recording. They purposely dumbed her down too and I think the show Destroyed them too. Then she was making more money then him and he was uncomfortable there too..

I think she was being 100% truthful in this song- she is saying she doesn't belong to ANYONE but herself and that's who she needs to be true to. She was defined by Nick & Jessica for so long and had to keep up that persona. It's great if he wanted to love her while she was being her- and yes that would have been a blessing but he needs to love her for her- changes, growth, attitude, sillyness, craziness- all of it. Her heart didn't belong to a Nick- it belonged to her and she chose who to give it to- and her alone.
@all4Hisgloryalone2Tim2159 жыл бұрын
+missychelle33 "Her heart didn't belong to a Nick- it belonged to her and she chose who to give it to- and her alone. " Thats funny ...i thought they were married.If you dont give your heart, what are you giving. What a selfish self centered world we live in where you abandon a marriage , a covenent to find yourself. I say get over yourself its not about what you need but what you give If both give both receive Marriage is when the 2 become one There should be no selfishness but selflessness
@missychelle339 жыл бұрын
Have you ever been married? You can give someone your heart completely but it's still your heart. It still belongs to you, and it's still your choice what happens to it. Part of a successful marriage is losing yourself in someone but not losing yourself completely. You still have to be your own person, and know you who are, and stay true to yourself.
@anariekennedy82848 жыл бұрын
I agree that marriage should be about giving, BUT you should know who you are before you get married. She was so young and had no idea what she was committing to. I actually like Nick. I know a lot of her fans don't and I was on his side until seeing this and realizing how she was feeling. You should never marry a man that makes you feel as if you're dying inside and don't recognize the person in the mirror anymore.

You can tell the song is about Nick. She’s singing about how she still loves him but she doesn’t want to lose herself to be Nick&Jessica. She also didn’t want him trying to change her. He was constantly riding her and belittling her, which I’m sure had it’s own impact on how she felt. Also, consider at the time she was practically starving herself to be perfect for both her career and him. Look up her diet back then she was living off chicken, broccoli, and asparagus. She was also working out in the gym for like 2 1/2-3 hours a day
