yes, without Hindi I wouldn't be able to communicate much with Abhishek's family. I am very grateful I had the opportunity to immerse when I did. It is very challenging with young kids and in my phase of life now, so I'm glad I did it when I was younger.

Its amazing to see your love and respect for India, Indians and hindi language. Fortunately I'm a bihari, stayed for four years in Missouri, now in Bihar. My nephew got married to an American girl at Orlando, who has the same feelings for indian culture and people as you have. No one in India would ever have rejected your acceptance to our society after looking at your love for india and the Indian culture. love you lots.

thank you for the affirmation. Not like foreigners who live in India can't culturally appropriate. They certainly can. But a lot of people see pictures of me in Indian clothes on instagram and assume the worst rather than look at the context of my life, marital status, family relationships, etc. Thanks for the comment.

@@IndiaWithJessica I also dont really understand this term "culturally appropriate". If a person is admiring the culture and adopting it (and not being disrespectful) isnt it a good thing? The opposite is extreme isolation of cultures and that never turns out well

That was so sweet.. The thing you said about respecting culture and wearing indian clothes becuase that represents your family touched me. Even as an Indian girl, I feel the urge to revolt as to why always wear saree/suit after marriage. But after hearing you it seems to have changed my thought process as well, if not whole, but a bit😊

There are quite a few inter religion and inter cultural or inter continental couples who are doing great. So are you! Jobs and other factors determine where we stay. Sometimes we move for children or their education or your own. Within Indians no two villages are similar. Even an Indian lady from one Bihar village will be different from another Indian lady from Bihar from a different village, district or town. In Punjab, many Sikh men went to Germany and married German ladies. Marriage or gamy is between a male and a female and that's what we rejoice about. May you have choicest blessings of the Lord showered upon you and all your family. Especially, two little precious ones.
