I struggled with addiction for almost 10 years. I have been in and out of jail/prison for years. Now I am working on my bachelors degree in psychology. This story is based on my own personal opinion and experiences.

I dunno man, even though I've been addicted to opiates and benzos several times, I still use psychedelics from time to time, especially shrooms, and I find them quite therapeutic. I know they have potential to heal, or just manage many psychiatric disorders, such as depression, anxiety, ptsd etc. and they do have that positive effect on me and that's why I respect them. I believe that they should be studied much more and given to people with mentioned psychiatric disorders. I wouldn't even classify them as drugs, especially shrooms, and I certainly would not put them in the same basket as H, meth, crack and so on. By the way, another great video Jess, stay cool and great!

Yeah, how was it that I was never given giant free bags of drugs (back when I still got high)? Lol. The junkies where I come from aren't big on presents... theft was a little more their style. And seriously, who just gives that away? Do have any idea how much that was worth? Depending on where you live, a pound of shrooms can cost upwards of 4 grand. There would be more than a pound in that bag. I wished she'd asked for a backstory from the guy that had the shrooma because I still have so many questions about this situation.

Started microdosing four days ago. On day two, that severe phase of depression I suffered from the past nine months was over. Migrane and tinitus not gone yet, but continuously diminishing since. Haven't felt that good for a really long time. Yes, when taken with care, psilocybin is medicine. But never ever combine it with alcohol, or something else that contradicts the way shrooms work!

Ok, this story made me laugh. Hard to do these days! It brought me back to those ridiculous decision makin’ days (I was on and off again using around the same years you were) and it just made me laugh out loud at that same kind of bullshit. 2 trash bags full of shrooms, though! What the shit. Haha. Thank you for sharing your message, and mad props to your accomplishments! It’s no easy feat, and you take it with with grace. I’m kind of the oddball in that I do that, too. I get judged so hard, but hearing your story helps me to believe I’m still doing the right thing. We all need to stick together and I got yo back. Mad love. Here’s to 2020 being our best year yet. Cheers (with a non-alcoholic beverage of our choice)! 😉

Oh my! Well, it CAN BE like that in a HUGE field after a reaaallllly good rain. When I was VERY YOUNG and dumb, I'd pick garbage bags full here in FL. And, yeah, for some, microdosing mushrooms can be better for chronic depression than antidepressants. I LOATHED babysitting tripping people if I wasn't tripping

Love the channel and the videos! Watching stories like these on KZbin I've noticed that a lot of people who are or have been addicted meth and/or heroin seem to have bad experiences with psychedelics (shrooms, acid or LSD, etc.). Not sure if it has something to do with their addiction, but I wouldn't be too surprised considering how psychedelics work.

You know what's worse than babysitting friends on bad trips? Babysitting friends on bad trips while tripping. I don't know how I became this. Often it wasn't even people I started the trip with lol. Kinda how it goes in the psychedelic world lol. People just float around. It used to trip me out - I would look over to my friend like "Was so-and-so here earlier?" and they'd be all like "Nooo man that was two days ago dude." "Ohhhh damn... what is this week man?" **walks into next room** "When did you get here?" "Dude I've been here all day bro!" Somehow in this state I often became the trip guide. I guess that's how you know everybody is tripping balls.

I just wanted to comment and say I love your videos and have been watching you since you were at 5K!! This is my first time commenting though, but I watch all your videos. I love that you are brave enough to share your story on this platform - you are such an overcomer, and I can relate so much. I now have a family and am back in school for nursing. I want to say thank you for putting out this content - it's really important. Side note: I feel like a creeper having watched all your videos, but never having commented lol!! Happy 2020 🖤
