I was clean when I started watching you guys but you Jessica have saved me from relapsing so many times. If it wasn't for your videos and my little girl being born January 27th of this year. I'm pretty sure I would have already relapsed. I've now been clean for 2 yrs.

I can't say never but I'm really determined to stay clean not only for my new baby but for my other kids who I want back full custody of November 13th 2019. That I had to fight for custody of from DFS for 4 years but girl I got it. So in the past 4 years I have hopefully overcome my addiction for good and one full custody from DFS for my kids so they're completely out of my life now and had a beautiful new bundle of joy my new baby girl Autumn Rose

I would love to hear yalls input on people saying “being quarantined is like being in prison” “I feel like I’m in prison in my own home with a tracker on” blah blah blah. I really think it down plays the actual seriousness of what prison is and also desensitizes the emotions of y’all who have been there done that and came out better and for the good! I have never been to prison, but it goes to show you how ignorant folks are. Unless you have to shower with multiple people, eat slop, ration your TP (okay that one applies now -heehee), do manual labour all day without getting paid, and risk getting beaten up or put in solitary confinement, you ain't in prison, hon.

@@emiiimm7436 you can punish people without violating their human rights. Providing nutritious food and adequate medical care is not treating a person like they are on vacation - simply that they have righta. Plus, circa 50% of the prison population are there on non violent drug offences, so why would they even need to be punished? Strangely enough the countries where prisons treat people humanely and work to rehabilitate them have low recidivism rates. Taking away a person's freedom forever is the ultimate punishment after all.

@@lynncrf exactly!! obviously our system doesn’t work when our recidivism rates are high as FUCK. i believe one of the main reasons this happens is bc they make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to get back on your feet. it’s literally a cycle of reoffending. you lose everything while in prison, and it’s so hard to even get half of that back once you’re out. i’ve seen first hand a PO tell my friend that he would violate him based off him asking a question on the phone call. how is that a violation? how is that fair? they treat you like you’ve killed multiple people when you have a fuckin weed charge. they don’t respect you and talk down to you. why would talking down to anyone and making them feel like scum of the earth for having a plant, help them at all ?? it’s not babying people to treat them like human beings. we’re meant to be free. too many fuckin stupid laws that end people in jail when they haven’t seriously harmed anyone. imo, nonviolent offenders shouldn’t sit in jail. people who are violet and threats to society should be sitting in jail. not someone who’s trying to just get by.

@@kianna270 That's why the passing of the First Steps Act was so important. I hope America continues to make more prison reform. Speaking as someone who drinks alcohol maybe twice a year and has never done drugs, I think all drugs should be legalised. We should just make them in factories the way we make alcohol and then slap appropriate warning labels on them. The prison population would literally decrease by a minimum of 50% overnight and would consist of only violent criminals.

Had I not been an addict I'd never have met my drug & alcohol worker who I worked with for over 7yrs. He HELPED me SO MUCH. Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise to have these painful moments.

Nicotine is 100% addictive. But when I was in rehab, they also taught me that the action of smoking/vaping is just as addictive as the nicotine. When I realized that, my mind was blown. My therapist grabbed a straw, cut it to the size of a cigarette/vape and asked me to hold it in b/w my fingers like one. He then asked me to inhale/exhale as if I was actually smoking a cigarette/vape. He made me realize that smoking is really all about “deep breathing”. Yes nicotine is addictive but it actually raises blood pressure, which has been proven to raise anxiety! The act of smoking, or deep breathing is what calms anxiety. So if anyone is trying to quit, and if you’re an all or nothing kind of person, try that method! Try “pretend smoking” out of a straw. Eventually you’ll be deep breathing thru our your day all the time. It becomes so peaceful. It will really help if you really try.
