I used to be annoyed by her but man, watching it again, I realize she was telling facts but the show edited her as the "villain". Also, the reason why she got double elimination with Kayla at that episode because apparently, the models didn't get any food and water for 24 hours and only Bianca and Kayla who spoke up against the producer. The producer got pissed off and tell Tyra to eliminate them! The same happened to Marvita on Cycle 10 when the models were in the lingerie photoshoot on the yacht. According to Fatima, Marvita was having migraine at that time but nobody give her a medicine for her migraine! Not even the medic team. That's messed up.

To be fair, Shannon stood firm on her boundaries when the show tried to guilt her around the underwear issue. She knew that in the real world, you go for the jobs that are fine with your boundaries. A decent agent/booker wouldn't force you into jobs that aren't within your boundaries, so everytime the show forces the models into an uncomfortable situation, you know its bullshit. As I've gotten older, my respect has grown through the roof for the women who have refused to do something that the show tried to force them to do. They weren't being dramatic, they knew their worth and they knew the show was bullshit.

Honestly, the ironic thing about this cycle is that the girls were no longer "wannabes." They are experienced models and already had a voice to give their opinion on challenges or topics. I liked that none of the girls had the conviction to tell her she was wrong. NO ONE is going to throw away their dignity to put me in a bathtub.

And this is All Star Cycle where the models from previous Cycles have more experiences (minus Alexandria who was just fresh from Cycle 16 and probably it took few months filming from Cycle 16 to 17 and you can see that she was still look tired). You can see that most of them are matures but Tyra expects them they are the same like how they did in their previous cycles! Like in earlier episode, Bre explained how she is a 25 years old woman at that time and she wasn't the same funky 19 years old when she was there before but Tyra mocking her in judging panel, "I'm 25 now. What does it even mean?' It means people grow up, Tyra! Not everyone will act like teenagers anymore!

I have a high school speech kid writing a persuasive on gender inequality in sports, I came across an article about who the most successful ANTM models have been and despite the show being overwhelmingly female based, the top 2 are males and one was from season 14 I think it was so he’s outpaced everyone before him too, I was shocked but I wasn’t shocked

Bianca knows what's up! Why shouldn't she have some integrity?! It's so frustrating that the show tries to make out that models basically have to do whatever they're asked to without question. Models in real life are treated with way more respect than what they try to portray in the show. I genuinely thought it was a photoshoot in the bath not standing in the bath whilst promoting it? I mean what the hell? There's no point to this at all. Bianca is right Tyra would rather die that lower herself to do that. To be fair Lisa gives as much as she gets. Bianca was standing for herself the whole season!. She knew the industry already, she was working since she left cycle 9, she knew how it works outside top model, she was a grown woman, not 18 and inexperienced anymore(I’m saying this because that was the point, ken mok and tyra were just taking advantage of young girls, but she was not a young girl anymore). She knew the tub thing was stupid, they were just made fun of all, so she said “you know what?, hell no, they are not going to laugh at me anymore I don’t care, I don’t want to and I’m not going to”. That’s what a smart, mature, and with emotional intelligence person do, when someone is trying to mess with you. I absolutely support Bianca on what she did and what she decided. Of course she didn’t let them make fun of her and they eliminated her later. Typical story … always the same. Same happened with azmarie and that booty thing on cycle 18.

But you also have to remember that in season 5 Tyra and her team screw Lisa in All possible ways, when she was booted from her season they didn't even give her a proper reason, in that season Lisa and Nik should have been finalists people like it or not Lisa was a better model than most of the girls in her season she was dealing (like probably other contestants) with a lot of her traumas and this was the production's fault because they were pushing her to share what happened to her as a child and she said No and even after the end of the season Tyra Banks and her team use her again for the Tyra banks show when supposedly they had her as a guest but Lisa thought she was invited to speak about her antm post life but they ambush her and they forced her to speak in front of the audience about her trauma and she (validly) reacted in front of everyone. So why she came back to all stars? Because of revenge and already learn how low where Tyra and her team and wanted to take (the money) for all the suffering they made her deal with

They've already done the 1st cycle, became working models, are popular enough to be asked back and already have fans. At what point are the dues finally paid? I thought that Bianca was opposed to the bathtub for nudity aspects since I’ve never watched this particular season, seeing the challenge and why she objected is even more important in my mind because it’s not about her exposing herself and all about the actual subject of this show which is modeling, what could hurt her ability to be hired because of such a stupid challenge standing in a bathtub of water. I could see doing a photo shoot of the model in the bathtub with candles and rose petals or whatever they chose to be in their fragrance but standing in a tub of water with clothes trying to hawk a product is terrible.

This show walked the tightrope over COERCION soooo many times. Apologies if this word is too harsh or triggering. Bianca is right. The show is trying to spin this as "I'm too good for this so I won't do it" like a snob. Bianca is saying "I know my worth and demand to be treated equally" I'm surprised they got Kayla to say what she said when 2 seasons ago they basically got her to do the male model commercial despite traumatic experiences (I'm focusing on production not her). But we ALSO know the backstage confessional stuff edits and tricks them into saying what they want recorded too. And of course, their prime example of insisting on nude/provacative photoshoots. We see this with Shannon in this season. SHE has a preference to what she considers a "bathing suit" versus "lingerie." It might be confusing but at the end of the day, it was so obvious how the show and judges were nitpicking this. ANTM needs to be thankful the show is ALREADY dead and getting residuals because if this aired today, it would have been cancelled in all senses of the word.

Cycle 1 Katie was hugely popular in America in commercial ads everywhere. Cycle 2 April qas sucessful post show segueing into fashion tv, cycle 2 Mercedes was sucessful and still working jobs today. Cycle 3 Tocxara became the first plus size black model on Vogue Italia literally and SPECIFICALLY bc of antm, Anne and Yaya were popular for a while as well, Nargas in auditions became massively successful post show, Noelle had a decent career in Asia. Dani cycle 6 was hugely sucessful and is STILL modeling today, apparently Leslie was working a lot for a while too. Cycle 7 Eugena, Meg, were hugely sucesful wspbin Europe. Cycle 8 Jaslene was everywhere, along with Brittany. Etc etc Cycle 12 fan favourite Allison was very sucessful. Cycle 13 Nicole, Jen, Sunday were working strong (Jen and Sunday still working to this day) Cycle 16 Britney was sucessful, cycle 19 Leihla massively popular in every show, cycle 21 Winnie was and is everywhere still. Etc etc. Had nothing to do with the gimmicks, it had to do with the show being b. Listed

I remember one time on australia's next top model they made the girls pose on giant blocks of ice wearing diamonds during a party. They had to stay on the blocks of ice and stay completely still as if they were ice sculptures for however many minutes- well people came up and observed the jewelry & live art. One girl choose a pose where she planted half her face into the ice because she didn't actually think it was going to be that cold and it just was very painful to watch as all the makeup started running down her face alongside her tears from the cold.

You know what would be cool? This is ANTM so I don’t expect much, but if this was a theme party and not a challenge, there is more you can do. Say you keep the bathtub, the models can do flirty and cheeky poses on the edge of the bathtub splashing it around. Then they can add bath bombs that go with their fragrance and have the fans test it by swirling their arms around. Maybe they can stand in the bath tub and get photo ops and than done. They can mingle afterwards. Maybe not even a tub, but a small standing pool. They can style and dress in colors that match the scents or the bath bombs. There is so much that you can do with this without making it tacky.

This episode feels kind of... fetishy. Like, the guys telling Bianca to get in and 'won't he put you in?' is so creepy. All the girls saying 'sometimes you have to do something that makes you uncomfortable' is so sad, and very worrying. You shouldn't have that mentality in any industry, but especially one like modeling where you are selling your image. People WILL exploit that.

Bianca instigated most of the fights on cycle 17, yelling, screaming, acting violently, making girls cry and fear for their safety. Yes, villain. On cycle 9, she bullied Heather the girl with aspergers. She bullied Lisa the dancer saying the most deplorable things. She bullied Saleisha and Chantal as well. Yes a true villain. But in this universe, she is your hero.

I'll be honest, I think the bathtub idea is kind of fun and I do kind of like it; HOWEVER, it only really works if the person CHOOSES to do it. Like if I was a model (lol) and someone pitched this to me, I'd be like "hell yeah sounds fun and weird". So it's kind of like, I respect Bianca's choice and the judges shouldn't penalise her for it, but I do think she's a little judgemental of the other models choosing to do it. Your brand is what you want it to be and Lisa's brand is fun and a little kooky.

As model, some work is not photos, but event promotion. With that model refusing the idea is a deal killer for a lot of people. Some brands book a model before ever meeting them, they only talk to an agency and the model shows up. Models have restrictions and want to take a specific road, but that's like an actor saying I "Only play a positive, successful character". That's someone with LIMITED range. Thats why the top models are called Supermodels, they do ANYTHING. They can model anything to perfection. The more a model says no or performs badly, brands notice and won't work with them again, its too risky, because the model is often only a fraction of the cost of a shoot. Models who perform great and are limitless are what it takes to be a Supermodel. But imagine hiring a "Top model" to promote your brand, even in a quirky way like from a bathtub, then model the agency sends gives your theme half energy... hell no. Fired. Call the agency and tell them to send a new girl NOW! I'd be livid as a client.
