The staff at the place was okay. They're cool with it. They did their part to negotiate, the manager actually somehow sided with Jessica too. Jessica lived here and she is always welcome to bring her series here because she is a filipina not just a filipina but a BACOLODNON..... You can say "uncomfortable po kmi kasi nkaka sira ng appetite." but do not spew racist comments. Ambaba ng level of maturity nila. Before they did that they should ask themselelves what would they feel if ginanyan sila while travelling as a tourist in other countries. The restaurant where she got kicked out is most likely PARES RETIRO. The street where she’s standing is Dr. Alejos St. cor. Retiro St. (now NS Amoranto St.). Minalas sya at yung nakatabi nyang customer ay maarte. Ok dyan sa Pares Retiro, hindi maarte mga tao dyan pag kumakain, mga makakatabi mo dyan mga lasing, trabahador, mga sosyal, minsan may pulubi pa nga tatabi sa yo. Pero keri lang, walang na-kick out o nawalan ng appetite. Tapos si kuya bigla daw nawalan ng ‘appetite’ yung customer? Loko pala sya e, gusto lang nya magpa-libre.

As someone who grew up in La Loma, I can attest that this place in QC is the actual OG for all foodies and those businessmen planning on putting up new businesses. Favorite ko and I grew up eating Lydia's Lechon, Pares Retiro and Sizzling Sa Matnog. Also during their fiesta sa La Loma, you'll experience yung halos 1 week celebration na minsan may pa-mini concerts pa sila, especially during the early 2000's. Nakakamiss naman talaga! 😭🫶

Hello Jessica, I feel bad about what happened at the near end of the episode. Kudos to your team and to you for being the bigger person in those kind of situations. Nothing beats a heart that is sincere and loving. You love Philippines, you love Filipinos and we love you as well. Lesson learned. Point taken. Duly noted. If I were in the situation as well, I would also decide to just get out and not fan up the flames of a confused/triggered person. Jessica finally encountered a local Karen, though it's a male one at this time. Probably some grifter wanting to get a little something from the resto or from you through intimidation tactics. Brinnging up a person's nationality in the issue is such a low-blow too. Imagine if other countries where our OFWs work gets treated like that too. Kudos to you and your team for handling the situation extremely well. Honestly, some customers try to find ways for them to avoid paying. For example, my cousin used to work as a part-timer in a fast-food resto and one time, a customer complained that her food wasn’t the one she ordered so they need to give her the correct order AND reimburse her, even though she FINISHED her plate. I also used to work as a part-timer but in a different fast-food resto and almost the same thing happened with me- one lady complained that her food was “too salty” despite finishing her bowl. She wanted a completely different food, but we needed to reimburse her. Like???

Ang pagiging Pilipino ay nasa Puso hindi lang dahil sa Dugo. Kilala pa naman tayo sa pagiging humble at hospitable sa ibang lahi, si kuya yung isa sa mga example na Pilipino na makitid pa ang utak.
