This is really good. I’m on the third point and I’m already feeling you. I’ve always maintained that a partner that intellectually vibes and connects is such a crucial requirement for relationships/marriages that’ll thrive. And then comes honesty, which I say births all other sweet and vital qualities, such as faithfulness and loyalty, etc. Personally, the moment anybody lies to me, I get so detached and lose interest. My wife is the opposite of EVERY ONE of these points. I searched for the signs before we got married, asked a thousand questions, conjured scenarios, and she played along very well. She loved my family, she was ambitious, she knew how to communicate, and she respected me. ALL OF THAT went out the window within 3 weeks of our wedding, and she became my greatest antagonist. Now her plea for reconciliation is overshadowed by the massive curtain of remorse and regret.
