@@markgiles8527 It is a retarded ban
@Katharsis5404 жыл бұрын
Why the ban?
@The.Red.Tomahawk4 жыл бұрын
@@Katharsis540 Simple: Politicians are in the business of manipulating people via optics to push whatever policys they want to push. From the side of state security protected individuals disarming normal people is just fine cause they have security details. They are either honest or dishonest about whatever positive effect they claim this will have. But the state telling the people what guns to have is a terrible conflict of interest. The state has a big interest in enforcing an ever expanding monopoly of violence with little competition. The thing is they only have the power to restrict people who actually follow the law so they only restrict tools and means from people that will mostly use them for valid violence. Like self defense,like crime prevension. But you see this things are also the business of the state so the conflict grows ever larger as capable citizens defending themselves just makes the state look less like a must need. And a weaker and defenseless people is one that must accept whatever the state decides no matter how unpopular. You may say: Democracy keeps them in check. But when only 2 partys of a country have an actual shot at winning then each of them tries to convince the people that voting for the other is hell on earth. So you got 1 idealistic and moral choice: Vote your convictions. And 1 more compromising and alledgedly pragmatical choice: Vote whatever of the 2 main partys you hate less. So if you dislike a measure from 1 that doesn't mean you automatically will switch cause just cause you don't like something your party did that doesn't automatically make everything you hated of the other party or didn't like all the sudden be loved. It just lowers one party without elevating the other other than by comparison. So the ban is a way to control the people in the name of public safety. All gun regulation truly is. People who can afford to use the kind of restricted hardware that would be a game changer are rarely involed in any more crime than tax evasion. Just cause the people could theorically own an abram tanks that had functional guns doesn't mean people can afford it. In practice outside people with whole country side propertys and space to waste it would just be a shittier version of a race track car. You cannot run it on normal streets like a race car cause even if it has been done ocasionally you are not hitting the hightway with it. You cannot get good gas millage. It is basically just good for shooting it in a big countryside for the fun of it. So most of the technology that is prohibited either will self regulate with price or is not that much of a strech in the first place. Automatic weapons outside fix mounts of bipods are hardly controllable accurately. Many military members prefer semi auto mode and use it even in close quarters the only reason automatic fire is important in traning and to have is cause of covering fire where you try to put a lot of bullets in the area to supress the enemy and avoid em being able to shoot you accurately. And as for api ammo,dude it is just metal if you gonna kill people with a gun breaking some ammo restriction rule is the least of your concerns. Point being the decision is fucking stupid and punishes competition shooters and those that didn't break any law in the first place. If it was about safety they would require more safety courses it ain't. That is why a ban is put in place. It ain't about having people with guns being properly educated,it is about having less people with guns and less guns in the hands of people and more guns comparably in the hands of goverment.

The split finger ammo technique is derived from our early US Cavalry. Mounted cavalry shooting the single shot carbines would place 2-3 shells between the fingers on their support hand and last 2 fingers on their strong side. Troopers needed their index finger and thumb to properly manipulate loading/firing. As we see, economy of motion equals enhanced speed and higher rate of fire from a platform not known for speed. Well done!

Not to forget that by using both hands with shells equal balances the weight distribution of her center of gravity increasing her range of movement. @charlescarabott76924 жыл бұрын
@@cgi2002 or maybe you consider defending ones self againsed armed criminals a crime
@cgi20024 жыл бұрын
@@charlescarabott7692 I never said that. I just compared the numbers. 2 people killed in a country with a population of millions, yes it's a tragedy but it's a tiny figure. Compared to the US were the figure is something like 5/100000 chance of been killed with a gun. Unregistered guns will always be a threat, even to those who have guns, if someone has decided to shoot you, odds are they are going to do it regardless of you having a gun or not. If just getting caught with a gun gets you 5 years in prison, they instantly become harder for even criminals to source as the risks are higher, and fewer criminals will willingly deal in them. However if you can break into an empty house, and steal the gun kept for self defence from the bedside cabinet, you now have a much more accessible source of firearms. Stolen firearms been the most common ones used in US guncrime (not counting those used that are legally owned, which is a far higher figure). In a country with legal gun laws, this scenario has occured: Your neighbour suddenly decides he hates you and is having a physiological break, he has a gun, legally acquired before his break. So he decides shooting you is a reasonable course of action, so he fires at you from his home after baracading himself inside. While the above is rare, it has happened several times. Just because you also own a gun doesn't make you safer, sure you can return fire, but that dosen't help anyone. Your neighnour isn't a violent person normally, they are ill, proper treatment is needed, not a gunshot wound. If they had no gun, baracaded themselves inside, they can't shoot at you, and are only really a threat to themselves. This leads into the next, and more common type of criminal firearms use in armed robbery, criminals who do have guns are now more likely to use them, they know you might have a gun, why risk you shooting them in the back when they run, for them its easier to just shoot you and not take the risk. If they know your unarmed, they have no real reason to shoot you except to stop you identifying them, and a mask does that alot easier than shooting someone. Yes I admit I am using extreme examples, but they are also real world scenarios that have and do occur on far to often an occasion. The defence from crime arguement would be better if rather than giving everyone a gun, we had well trained, well funded and properly equipped law enforcement agencies. The defence from government arguement falls down when you realise tank beats gun. Wildlife defence I accept, there are occasions when this is reasonable. Hunting which while I find it barbaric, I can accept the arguements for it. Sporting use I also accept, on the caveat that sporting weapons should be properly secured, registered and only used for that purpose. Hell I even get collecting firearms, but again they should be secured, registered and kept in a disabled state (bolts removed and stored seperately, without ammunition). I will also admit, people who own a firearm should be required to be licenced, and that license should come with mandatory training, a full background check, and an annual fee to pay for these services. You need a license for a car, it's no less dangerous, and you pay those fee's via tax's and insurance. Tldr I don't hate guns, I hate the stupid reasons people come up with for wanting them, and their sense of entitlement to have them.
