Why is Jessie J so underrated? She deserves more recognition for her voice and style. I've been listening to her since Who's laughing now and price tag, I thought she would've become a fan favorite after Bang.
@casek7531 Жыл бұрын
The reason why she's underrated is quite clear. Her overwhelmingly successful debut album was full of meaningful songs such as Who you are, Price tag, and Big white room. Then, she suddenly changed her style in order to become famous in the States singing about sex like Bang Bang and this song. That made original fans confused.
@erenssister.5535 Жыл бұрын
She's more famous in uk
@sakuraflares7054 Жыл бұрын
from the perspective of an american who discovered her from this string of pop songs in the states, her powerful voice was kind of drowned out in completely trite bs like this... she'd have had less sales maybe if she did some more sensible music that focused on the talent and art of music but she'd definitely be more fondly remembered

It's gonna take me a while to get used to this new Jessie. I prefer the Jessie who didn't desperately sing about her boyfriend every two seconds on her record to please Americans , the Jessie who would ''Stand Up'' for other people , who sang about being strong. L.O.V.E lyrics '' I said I'd never write a song about love but when it feels this good a song fits like a glove when you hold me, and you tell me that you missed me, and call me milky '' Jessie , we loved your occasional love songs , not these ones which we hear in every single song.

How is she trying to "please" Americans? What the fuck are you talking about? People from England eat this shit up so don't act like you are on a higher level than Americans.
@claireisnotdracula45499 жыл бұрын
MaKeUpAdDiCtEd18 I'm not saying that British people are on a higher level than Americans. I just mean things are quite all the same over there ya' know , there is hardly ever any creativity in pop music (hence why I mostly listen to punk nowadays.) Who You Are esque Jessie was really different and her music just sounded better I guess , i'm not trying to be offensive. We all have different opinions :)
@troy47839 жыл бұрын
OMG she can't just do the same sort of songs all the time she has to evolve and try out different things that's how you grow as a artist and how you stay relevant especially as a pop singer

I don't think that she's trying to sell her music by showing her body, I mean she has a GREAT GREAT BODY. The thing about Jessie J is that she can truly sing live and she can write songs about real feelings and songs that are catchy and sexy. Is it bad to be sexy? I mean she's only showing her beautiful legs...I think its a little bit male chauvinist to criticize woman for being sexy and not men. I mean Justin Bieber the man is constantly showing his abs and graving his package or Nick Jonas, NO ONE saids something about them because they are showing his body. WOMAN can show their body if they want to, that does not mean that they are less talented, whores or anything. It means that they are pretty sure of their features and are proud about it. EVERYONE in the planet has testicles, boobs, vagina, etc. so why is it so offensive for woman to show their bodies? and why boys can show theirs?

Jessie? a flop? pfuahahahaa
@tariqglover41659 жыл бұрын
She's actually not a flop. Her 2nd album was actually #3 on the UK charts when it debuted, and she didn't really release it for the US. Sweet Talker is supposed to be a worldwide album. But, yeah. She's not a flop. It's just that her 2nd album wasn't for the U.S. :P

Why is it that every time I remember about this song, I somehow almost feel like the way I remember some dreams. I'm always surprised this song and video actually happened. I was totally into it back then, and I remember it well when it was released. It was the successor single to Bang Bang and it was supposed to be a huge hit too. Plus the video looks incredible (minus the over-cropping). But there is just something about it that feels so "not Jessie J" maybe that's why I always feels strange that it happened. I don't know.

I love the song and the video, but I don't understand the point of having the aspect ratio be so wide. I think full screen looks much better than having those black bars taking up more than half the video frame.

Can i just say... all you people are saying she is becoming one of those typical fame whores. Well guess what? She is still Jessica Ellen Cornish. The same girl that helped millions of people with insporational songs! Have some respect! An adult women writes a song about sex and everyone loses their shit!!! Has anyone also noticed that she kind of reversed the objectifying women thing. SLAY QUEEN♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I think Jessie only made one mistake on her Entire career, and that is releasing 'Burnin' up' as a single. Why? It is simply because she didn't need it, I know that she needed to promote herself in the US, but she already did that, "Bang Bang" made her More known. "Bang Bang" isn't the type of song that I would search up on KZbin but as soon as I hear it on Radio, I would sing and dance along. "Burnin' Up" was a great song but she didn't need it, I think that it should have been, "Bang Bang" "Masterpiece" "Personal" "Fire" or "Get Away" To those People saying "She's Changed" well, you are damn wrong. Jessie's still herself. She might have grown up but calm down, she only released Two sexual singles, it's not like she won't write emotional music again. Besides, we don't own her, she has her own life, her own choices, if she wants to feel sexy, she can! She's herself, she's the same and we love her for it. But that is simply my opinion, Overall, I've been a fan of Jessie Since I saw "JESSIE J "BIG WHITE ROOM" IN MY BATHROOM IN L.A! Geez, how long was that ago? I feel old, but hey, by Jessie's words, "Your as old as you feel you are." Feel free to comment your opinion.

I do not get how people feel she should not have released this song. I work at a nightclub and venture through most of them in my city and everytime this song comes on, the club goes wild! This song has found its niche and is quite succesful in it. i guess its just obviously not for day dwellers.
@hellopucha64349 жыл бұрын
+0kkeevviinn Well, It is a fun dancing song, and It fits her vocals perfectly, I actually like this song but I just felt a bit uncomfortable because, I've been a fan of her since "Big White Room" and I guess I was just used to hearing emotional songs from her. I still do think "Bang Bang" and "Burnin' Up" are great songs.

I love this song but ...kinda dissapointed, I have been listening to Jessie J since 2010 and I like Jessie because she usually writes about true emotions that makes us reflect on "Who You Are" She is...scratch that, was different from all the other singers, Brtiney, Christina, Miley...urgh, we don't need songs that makes us wanna lick stuff and rub our bodies against things, we need songs that make us more human and feel love for one another, if these types of videos continue, I'm so un subscribing and moving on.

@moodylogs9 жыл бұрын
I think the same thing as you but I'm not sure that you're right about Miley, Christina or Britney etc. Because every singer has their sad emotional songs and "party" songs. Yeah, I would prefer to listen to the old Jessie J, but I like her that way too.
@byaderhamed9 жыл бұрын
Yerko Vallejos if thats his opinion, let him be ffs Carlos Fierst I understand where you're coming from but it is a good song! You are looking for meaning, if so think of it as escape from logic.. also the music industry is going into the sex faze her label probably told her this is how to get more views
@carlosferreira58949 жыл бұрын
Yerko Vallejos I agree with you, I am a huge JJ fan but how do you think these types of videos and songs effect people? SPECIALLY THE YOUNG? Do you agree on seeing little girls taking semi-naked pictures of their bodies and posting them on social medias? Do you agree on young girls seducing men with their bodies? and dear I know she can be whatever she want, but what she does also effects people, so it would also be her fault, use your brain a little more okay? xxxx

I've been a fan of Jessie's since '09. I love seeing her evolutions of style and song. I love that for this video she stepped out of her comfort zone by doing choreo, and having a love interest. I follow her on all social media and Jessie seems to be at a point where she is truly happy with her work. And being a recording artist with such a diverse fan base I feel shes doing a great job of being well rounded. For those who are disappointed, don't be. The album will still give you that raw Jessie we all love. Heartbeat4Life! 🙌💖💋
