Nostalgia is like drugs, it makes you feel great but afterwards you... you almost realize nothing will ever be the same as that feeling. You will never feel the happiness that you just felt. It’s a hard pill to swallow. You can try to relive the simpler times but you just keep getting older, it keeps getting harder. My friend this was a heartbreaking post to read. But I want to give you at least SOME inspiration that has brought light into my life. I listen to nostalgia not so much to make me feel sad that it’s gone, but rather I use it to motivate me to get BACK there. Because there was nothing special about the moment that we fell in love with this song and the moment that we attach this song to. It was just that we were extremely Present. We were absorbed in the present, and we knew the art of being present. Over time we might’ve lost that art, but nostalgia is a means to teach us that we have lost touch with our Soul and are in need of going back. It is like our Soul calling us back home. This is what I learned from my life with meditation. Pray and meditate so that you can teach your mind to be in the same state it was back then. As Jesus said, be not like the learned and proud, but rather be like a Child. Then you will enter the Kingdom of God. Cheers.
