Back when there was hope and positivity in music still. Now everything's depressing.
@peterp.93273 жыл бұрын
Don't know if they're your taste, but when i need some positivity that's not an old classic, TWRP, Saint Motel and The Orion Experience have all brought out neat albums recently. You can't expect mainstream pop music trends to take your moods and needs into accounts. The things you're looking for are out there somewhere. You just need to find them, and support them if you want to see more of it in the world.

Seems like everybody's got a price I wonder how they sleep at night When the sale comes first and the truth comes second Just stop for a minute and smile Why is everybody so serious? Acting so damn mysterious Got shades on your eyes and your heels so high That you can't even have a good time Everybody look to their left Everybody look to their right Can you feel that? Yeah We're paying with love tonight It's not about the money, money, money We don't need your money, money, money We just wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag Ain't about the, uh, cha-ching, cha-ching Ain't about the, yeah, ba-bling, ba-bling Wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag We need to take it back in time When music made us all unite And it wasn't low blows and video hoes Am I the only one getting tired? Why is everybody so obsessed? Money can't buy us happiness Can we all slow down and enjoy right now? Guarantee we'll be feeling alright Everybody look to their left (to their left) Everybody look to their right (to their right) Can you feel that? Yeah We're paying with love tonight It's not about the money, money, money We don't need your money, money, money We just wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag Ain't about the, uh, cha-ching, cha-ching Ain't about the, yeah, ba-bling, ba-bling Wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag (yeah, yeah) Well, keep the price tag (yeah) and take the cash back (back) Just give me six strings (six strings) and a half stack (half stack) And you can, can keep the cars, leave me the garage And all I, yes, all I need are keys and guitars And guess what? In 30 seconds, I'm leaving to Mars Yeah, we leaping across these undefeatable odds It's like this, man, you can't put a price on a life We do this for the love, so we fight and sacrifice every night So we ain't gon' stumble and fall, never (nah) Waiting to see this in the sign of defeat, uh-uh So we gon' keep everyone moving their feet So bring back the beat and then everyone sing It's not about the money, money, money We don't need your money, money, money We just wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag Ain't about the, uh, cha-ching, cha-ching Ain't about the, yeah, ba-bling, ba-bling Wanna make the world dance Forget about the price tag (hey, hey) It's not about the money, money, money (we don't need it) We don't need your money, money, money (no I don't, we don't need it) We just wanna make the world dance (dance) Forget about the price tag (dance your ass off, ah-ah) Ain't about the, uh, cha-ching, cha-ching Ain't about the, yeah, ba-bling, ba-bling (it ain't about) Wanna make the world dance (yeah, yeah) Forget about the price tag (forget about the price tag) Yeah, yeah, oh-oh Forget about the price tag

My biggest frustration is that Jessie isn’t quite there with super stardom, which I believe she deserves. Her technique, vocal ability, range and pitch is second to none. And I mean NOBODY, not even the USA biggies can match her skills. Jessie sings with such control and power. It looks like easy work for her. So .. I have been giving Jessie a lot of thought lately. Trying to figure out why she isn’t nominated for every frikkin award, because lordyyyyy she should be! I think I have some points. 1) People are jealous of her ability 2) She’s a Brit. Having the (possibly) best vocalist in the world be a Brit must piss the Americans off. Just look how she outshined their beloved Jennifer Hudson in their duet together!? 3) Jessie talks too much. It’s her personality. She’s enthusiastic, happy and bubbly. Some of the stuff she says gets picked on and twisted. The media exploits that often. Twists what she says. She needs to keep quiet (like Beyoncé and Adele) Less is more. Let her skill do the talking. That’s all she needs. 3) Songs. Move away from Pop. She needs to sing more heartbreak or moving ballads. The more people cry.. the more cashola is made. I mean just look at what Adele did? So.. Image. Less Pop. Less high octane. More get-under-your-skin-and-move-your-soul-so-you-have-to-stop-breathing-to- listen-to-every-damn-lyric-song. 4) Maybe a name change? A simple “Jessica” would suffice. She needs to be taken more seriously. Jessiej smacks of rap/grind. She’s done all that. Now it’s time to grab everyone’s attention. Maybe she’ll be chosen for a James Bond theme. She’d make it epic for sho.
@cooliocook69113 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think her happy personality and enthusiasm gets misread as overconfident. My sister used to hang out with her around Dagenham and always she was the nicest person. Always encouraging and kind. She was always always always singing. She would sing things instead talk things. She just LOVES singing. And who would blame her? Singing gives a rush. Releases endorphins. She does deserve to be famous. Even More famous than she already is. This girl needs no auto tune. She’s the real thing. To me, she sings better than Beyoncé and Celine. If you’re reading this Jessie, my sister Chloe (Clarke) says hi 😘😘😘
@freespirit69533 жыл бұрын
@@cooliocook6911 Oooooh.. what I wouldn’t give to see Beyoncé and Jessie do a sing off. I’d get myself down to the bookies and put £1K on JessieJ wiping the floor with Beyoncé vocally. Absolutely yes yes yes!!!. But it will never happen coz Beyoncé knows it. Beyoncé probably avoids JessieJ big time. Jessie you are the best. MissmelismamagicJessie 😘😘😘😘

@@freespirit6953 A sing off between QueenB and EmpressJessie you say? I’d be there front row with my popcorn. I too have a suspicion that Jessie would get the 👑 ... However, that said.. I really believe that Beyoncé actually respects Jessie’s ability. This is because they are both perfectionists
@freespirit69533 жыл бұрын
@@nickbeeston9723 Yes indeed. Nobody gets to sing like JessieJ does without putting hard hard hard practice in. And true love of their craft. I agree that the moment Beyoncé heard Jessie sing .. there can be no doubt that Beyoncé would have nothing but admiration and respect... okay.. maybe a little bit of jealousy.. but for me, JessieJ overshadows Mariah too. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about singing .. would always include the name of JessieJ in a conversation. As a professional myself, I refer to her often. All us professionals do. Hell we tell our students to go and listen to JessieJ CAREFULLY and with concentration.. because there lies pure perfection.

This was my favourite song in Kindergarten! I remember getting excited when this song came on the radio on the drive to kindy, telling my mum to turn up the volume and us both singing along in pure happiness.
