It’s actually based on a Korean show called “The Singer”, where they invite established artists / veteran singers to compete in front of a live audience and the audience will vote to eliminate one singer per week. 以 Jessie J既唱功同舞台經驗，要碾壓整季是完全輕鬆，覺得她比較像表演嘉賓多過參賽者。 近年無奈Jessie J係外國樂壇不斷出新歌都紅不起，就算紅的歌大多數是Collaboration (Bang Bang)， 所以真的希望她能借這節目以西方歌手在中國市場打響外國pop/life music的聲勢。 個人認為她唱歌風格真的很符中國市場口味，超實力唱功 (飆高音=食生菜)，炫麗舞台效果，雄厚聲底(足以撐足全場氣氛)，全都是中國樂壇現時的趨勢。當然她的acoustic 及細膩唱法也不輸蝕，去聽聽她的街頭life show就知道了。真心認為她真的是一個全能型歌手，一直殺入決賽吧!

WELL. KZ and everyone else were great, I esp. really liked Hua Chen Yu, but not many has Jessie's skill, NOR her stage pressense. She was born to be on the stage, and it isn't because she's a foreigner on Asian grounds. Not many can just take the stage and make it entirely theirs.

When you really listen to them one after the other you start to notice the difference between Jessie and the other Chinese singers. It's not so much the singing technique or vocals and all, it's simply how loose she is during the entire performance. Especially that bit from 4:08 "dirty dddddirty dancing". I wouldn't know if it was rehearsed but it sounded spontaneous. I think WangFeng is a good comparison his singing is so polished and rehearsed it sounds like it comes out of a record. Perhaps it's also the song choice, the song she picked fits this kind of performance, it brings the right mood. We'll have to see her subsequent performances. Compared to the others her singing doesn't seem to be in perfect sync with the music somehow, but her overall vibe with those little improvs are just incredible. It's really all that matters though, to have the music influence the audience.

Late reply but playing it in the original key could make it a totally different vibe because Jessie j’s upper register doesn’t carry the same depth (it sounds more piercing) as her mid and lower ranges, not saying it’s bad but I think it wouldn’t sound as good with the arrangement. Jessie does make up for that with her very well executed runs(her vocal agility is crazy), and the arrangement plays equal part of making this performance so great.
