Singer 2018 is the second season of Chinese television series Singer, a rebranded version of I Am a Singer that will air on Hunan Television. It is produced by Hong Tao, and its music director is Hong Kong senior musician Kubert Leung.

Stevie Khoo this statement is true in today’s RnB music because almost every song sounds the same but not the 70’s up until the early 2000’s. Rnb music during that time was a lot more complex then pop but now it’s just watered down. Also, she is a pop/RnB singer with some rnb and soulful influences in her music. However I totally agree, she was given some shit songs . The songs she writes on her own are much better and suited to her voice. I love that she has improved her vocal technique and is more restrained than she’s ever been in her entire career. When she first came out she use to over sing, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. This performance was near perfection!

This performance is obviously absolutely flawless from start to finish, but one of my favourite things about it is how simply she sings the last bit. She doesn't overdo it with vocal runs because it doesn't need it, she just gets the essence of the lyrics across with so much heart and really drives it home. It is the perfect performance. She is an incomparable vocalist.

i really don’t understand why she isn’t asked to do more tributes like this is the closest singer in her *prime* that y’all are gonna find to the great voices of the past in this generation, i love ariana, but she has a very soft airy voice, of course it’s also very powerful but she’s a soprano, jessie is a baritone, and even xtina at one point was the closest thing to whitney but she’s lost some of her mojo, jessie is definitely one of the best and youngest singers out there rn edit: sorry i was mixing up male and female registers at the time. rusty, lol. what i meant to translate to is i believe jesse is a mezzo or maaybe contralto. other than that i completely disagree that shes a light lyric soprano. like completely. thats falsetto. you can hear the clear difference when jesse is singing in her head voice. especially if you listen to allot of her music. a full lyric perhaps but definitely not a light. to me she’s just singing the song as it was intended to be at each specific moment.

I mean, I know Jessie J is a good singer, but the only songs that I know of hers that really "boomed" are domino and masterpiece. ... Those songs are pop songs though. @JJ Thank you for saying that! There is a live KZbin video of Whitney Houston performing the song and I got shredded with comment replies because I said it wasn’t a great performance. I got the usual “She is the queen! You are high, she is the best ever in the whole universe and the infinite greatest singer!!” Blah blah. It’s like, calm down people, I love Whitney Houston and she was great! I love so many of her songs. I was just saying, for whatever reason, her live performances started going down hill and fast. The studio version is wonderful of course and having David Foster is huge! I am a musician and it’s not personal, or some attack on Houston at all! I am just calling it like I see it and this performance by Jessie J is just better than I ever heard from Houston. Much love to Houston and she did great too, just not as good.
