I found this song in that 2013-14ish era where she had just released this album. “Masterpiece” is by far my favorite song on the entire album. As a young 9 year old, I felt these lyrics touch my soul. 10 years later, I’m about to turn 20 and I’m still working on my masterpiece. Keep on moving, keep on creating, keep on giving and accepting love (which can be so much harder to do than it looks - or we would wish it to be). My 22 year old daughter is out in the world (straight from high school in Texas to college in Europe) and it is a pleasure to see her grow and learn and work on her "masterpiece", the likes of which I don't think she knows yet - but nothing wrong with that! BTW, on this page KZbin brought up another song which means a lot to me - "F** Perfect" by P!nk. Same journey, same story, different path, same vision. You're so right, she has a FEW explicit songs and that's understandable since every artist mightwant to make themselves popular at some point in their career so that they could sell their songs, right? In this world, artists who won't sing about sex and money WILL NOT become as popular as others. Jessie is so underrated and you know why? Because she is real, she doesn't sell her music with her boobs or sex tapes, she still sings about staying 'true to who you are'. I'm not saying she's a saint, but she's above many others.
