I went through something similar your comment made me tear up. The stubbornness has got the best of us. The night before she passed away she called me I didn't answer. I didn't listen to the voicemail until the next morning. She was trying to reach out to mend our relationship. I called her back but she didn't answer someone else answered telling me that she had passed away that morning.

This is why Jessie is one of my favorite artists cause she’s always coming with such beautifully cinematic and amazing visuals that are able to bring her records even more to life and put the ART in artist, to show what a truly great artist she’s in every sense of the word. Jessie showing here yet again with this very conceptually well put together visual that just when you think she can’t outdo or come with a just as good or even better video than her last one, she does so. The concept of Jessie lamenting a lost love, as she intertwines between a marriage ceremony and a funeral service. Walking down and singing the emotionally beautiful, yet sombering lyrics about that previous love as caskets are brought down an aisle of a cathedral. With the congregation mourning in face painted skulls. Riding with her brides who are covered in white drapes, the procession leads to the burial grounds where she exchanges vows with her ex-groom at the altar before their caskets eventually close. Is in a lot of ways very similar to the Mexican celebration of Día de Muertos, and makes me wonder if Jessie drew some inspiration from that for this visual. Because the record itself is about a lost love that’s dead to not only her now, but perhaps can be dead to obviously the previous lover as well. Makes you wonder 🤔
