Personally I think our first blind bunny hunter way back in the early days should be one of the deities, or at least mentioned among the heroes. His dedication despite his shortcomings was admirable and he provided many rabbits for the tribe. Amazing video btw! I love how we have this much lore. I'm a writer so I often enjoy things like this. I may do some writing for some of the tribes too! As in writing out some of the stories. Thank you for being an amzing person and entertaining me since that first tribe! I still remember the day Anameme was born. While there are those stronger, she was the first to carve out the path and her loyalty and sacrifice is what really sets her apart. Thank you again for these wonderful stories! ^_^

I think the mistake of drawing Anameme with two claws instead of a claw and a no-paw simply came from the fact that interpretations of deities drift from reality with time.

If Mooneye helps creatures pass on to the next life, perhaps Grim could be the keeper of their spirits until they are born again? Grim was one of my favorites, her design was so unique and cool! I think it would be interesting to have her as some sort of death related entity. Perhaps if Mooneye is comparable to Thanatos in Greek mythology, then Grim could be Hades.

Your lore in Adam’s Quest made me want to have the same in my own game. I played for a few hours and surprisingly I found a few creatures to be extra special. Firstly, I had Koana, Goddess of Misfortune. Everywhere she goes, misfortune follows. She brought unhealthy wanderers and rouge males close to the tribe. She even left her tribe and was almost killed by a bearyena. Koana had a brother named Taduk. Taduk is the God of Fortune. Everywhere he goes, he finds berries, healing fruits, and wanderers. Taduk has a daughter named Anasila. Anasila is the Goddess of Protection. She was born with two claws and the big body. When she accepted Koana back into the tribe, Anasila had to fight off the bearyena to save her tribe. That’s it for now!

It was nice to see all of the main ones and hints of smaller deities. And to see again some of the old tribe members from Adam's family. In honor of your story of deities, I'll tell you one of mine. In the home of many islands, much like the one that birthed Crescent and Mooneye, there was a pregnant nichling who was nearing the end of her days. On her second to last day she found a permanent nest hiding in the grasses, nestled against the ocean and next to another nest. Too tired to climb into it that day she had to wait. The next morning, resting herself down there as she snacked on berries given to her by her family, she watched tribe mates move across the waves to a nearby island. A journey she knew she wouldn't survive. The next morning... she was gone. And in her place were 2 tiny baby boys named Nunu and Nunu. Their furs were pure white, thin red stripes mixed in their fur, a crown of dark brown ram horns on each and both bearing a velvet paw and digging paw. Their manes were dark red and eyes a striking blue once they opened them. Identical in every way, something their tribe had never seen before. When they were old enough they tried to cross the waves. One brother made it but got hurt, the other stayed behind for a bit longer then crossed. It is rumored that the one that got hurt had decided to explore while the other found a berry bush and made a family. Both lived full lives, each in their own ways. One raised his children, teaching them how to dig and pick the berries. His brother explored the edges of the island, never really settling down. When the roaming hurt brother felt his time coming, he decided to return to his brother. Next to him... he passed away, leaving only one or two children to carry his legacy. His brother mourned his passing and dug up a root for him before succumbing to his fate the next morning. His children mourned him before moving on to the next island with the rest of the tribe, carrying his values of family with them. Over time these values sunk in, that of adventure from the one brother and of family from the other. And although the two could easily be mixed up, those that knew them never seemed to. It is because of this that they became the Gods of Duality, for even though they looked exactly the same and were named the same... they were able to live such different and happy lives. They show nichlings that they can look the same but never have to BE the same. It is from that time forward that any baby born with the name Nunu was considered blessed for great things, no matter how small or grand it really was for the tribe as a whole. So for any time you get a Nunu in the nest, know that my Gods have blessed that child. I'll be cheering for them and all your nichlings in the future. May Anameme, Mooneye and Crescent watch over them.

Does Adam count as a god? Or is it just his spirit speaking through Mooneye when he gives his blessing and advice? And when he is reincarnated in the tribe or when a Nicheling has Adam's signature stripes, is it his blessings through Takir, or does he have a small amount of control/power over his ancestors and their affaires and when they look like him or have appeased him and such? This is a question I would love to have answered. Jess, can you address this question? I would really appreciate it, because this is interesting to me...

I was beginning to watch the older series (or well, listen to them while playing similar stories to what JessiMew is doing) and as I listened to the tales of these special nichelings, it made me wonder if I'll have a tale like this to tell from my niche adventures. I happen to have one goddess of mine. Her name is Lynx, the Goddess of Luck. I played the Whims Of Fate challenge once since it seemed interesting. 'Lynx' was what I happened to name the first female nicheling, and each of her oldest daughters were named 'Lynx' after her. Wherever a nicheling named 'Lynx' was present, there was good luck to be had. Now when I play and something seems hopeless in one of my niche worlds, but there's a good twist, it's the 'Lynx's good fortune'. Anyways, just sharing to anyone who likes to hear everyone else's tales. Thanks for listening~ EDIT 2/3/22: i hardly remember this goddess of my nicheling lore, but i do have swift, god of strength now. did the 'honestly very hard challenge' once and he was strong enough to kill most bearyenas that threatened his tribe.

Just seeing this sparked a theory! For some reason, you can breed with bearyena. There is a good scientific explanation but Lets put science aside. Also bearyenas are the only creatures who are fully controlled by a god(Anameme) other creatures, like bluebirds, crabbits and ramfoxes, can be influenced by nicheling gods, but they are never controlled fully. This gave me an idea. Maybe, a long time ago, even before Anameme, there were some ancient nicheling gods that have been forgotten. These first gods slowly grew in power, along with The nichelings who served them. One day, due to the great power that The nichelings gained over the island, they started a great conflict against The gods of all other animals. This lasted for centuries, and many species dissappeared because of that. Some gods, like The balance Bear gods, lost a Whole lot of their power, and entered hibernation, causing mountains to grow on their backs and transferring their power to the normal balance bears. The ape gods made jungles so that their kind could live in peace. The nicheling gods were succesful, until one fateful day, The bluebird, ramfox and the great dodomingo gods set a trap. The dodomingo god clashed with them, and with all his power, he ended the battle. The dodomingo god lost most of his power, and the dodomingos, Who once lived in every island, dissappeared from their natural homes, losing their ancient technology, only leaving their permanent nests behind. The nicheling gods, however, lost all their power and dissappeared. Only a few nichelings were left, as the ramfox gods sealed away the strongest nichelings in ice prisons, The bluebird gods took away most flying nichelings, and the dodomingo god, corrupted almost all remaining nichelings, turning them into ferocious bearyenas, and cursing some of them, turning them into rogue males that could only lift their curse by having children with good genes. An era of peace would follow. The remaining nichelings had to start over, and eventually, try to regain their ancient power by obtaining New gods. That would be an interesting case. But also, maybe what created the bearyenas was a mysterious evil nichelings god we still dont know about. After all, there have been no evil gods so far. But, well, what so you think about this theory/story?

Son of Howl and Betta. Clay: a humble nestmaker, son of Takir. Kindle: Well seeing as he got ripped apart by piranhas and was a singer... not exactly a siren, but if the waves and the seawinds seem mournful, Kindle’s probably leading the chorus of the deep Cupid: I almost forgot about our matchmaker! He also isn’t afraid to use his claws if he thinks a union would be unjust Kuvan: the jungle prince. With his lil’ beak and all. Rameme: Adam’s banana child, the first bearer of the bluebird feathers. There are some more, but the comments already mentioned them so I’ll stop here.

I have my own gods and goddesses! Isko: goddess of fortune and rouges. She was found as a rouge in the tribe of the Greek gods. She brought water body and claw to our tribe and in fact is the ansester of one of the other goddesses on this list. She had four children only three of them carried water body. Whenever a rouge strolls into your camp it is the will of Isko, and you should be thankful for her blessing. She is a kind soul who loves to help the tribes, though the rouges she sends aren't always perfect she only ever trying to help. Adam and Eve: god and goddess of the tribes. They are the founders of all tribes and are said to bring the loners and banished creatures together. Even though we no longer start out with them, if you simply take their kindness for granted your tribe will be coursed with everyone having the same genes. These are kind souls that spend all their time in heaven together bringing soulmates to each other. Anakoana: goddess of food and carnovors because whenever she fights a carnovor bunnies will surround her. Carnovors seem to follow her as an adult and yet with her high attack (5 was pretty high for my tribe) she fended them all off, I believe three appeared within two days. She blesses worthy souls with the claw and antlers to defend their tribe. It is said that from her afterlife she is able to summon carnovors at will often for fun or too bring food to strong clans without berry bushes, because she may be kind, but needs to entertain herself somehow. She was always mischievous as she was younger, once she tried to run into battle as a teen, but her father stopped her, she stubborn and impatient but she often TRIES to be nice These are it some but my favorites. Maybe I'll add more later.

So many memories! I've been following you since day 1 of Niche... and your stories just keep getting better and better in all your series. Can't wait to see what you'll do in the future!

Oh my golly, you would not believe how long it took me to figure out the name of anameme, because the last time I watched this series was like, 4 or 5 years ago when I happened upon it after watching a lot of genetic related stuff for pre-AP biology. All I could remember was "the goddess of war", and GOSH it feels so good to finally out her name and the series, so I can watch it again~ :D

I think spook the pirate king should be in the lore as well, I think he should be known as the mermaid bringer and the water traveler as he moved pretty fast in the water and liked to keep moving from place to place like a true pirate

Splash will always be my favorite out of the bunch, his unfortunate no paws never got the lad down.

I haven't watched this series in a really long time, and I thought it'd be fun to watch this video. Now I'm super emotional and I look forward to joining the adventure again on the 100th episode of this series!

The moment I read the title of this video I instantly went.."YESSSS!" The whole time I watched it to I was just feeling so happy. I've been a silent watcher over the course of all your niche episodes and so this just was a pure treat for me. Mooneye and Cresent probably are my personal favorite of the well-known deities. They just are such beautiful creators and their stories was probably one of my personal favorites. Melody would probably be the saddest for me to have watched develop. I would love to see you do a more developed video for the smaller deities that aren't as well known. :) Like takir I'd love to relive his story. And any smaller deities that are hidden away within the archives. :) You could easily make this into a small season all its own. Maybe a 4 or 5 episodes dedicated to the deities or powerful leaders from the prior times. Those that helped shape the tribes into what they are today! (sorry this got so long...got really excited! I've already watched this like 4 times now!)

My favorites are Mooneye and Crescent. Sometimes I find myself staying up all night, writing a 78 chapter “book” about them. I just love them so much! The balance sisters are also cool, and so are the bandit brothers. I like all of them.

*God's Chilling* _______________ Vankir: Eh Does Anybody Have Some Berry's For Movie Night? Anameme: No But I've Got Bearhyna Me- Vankir: You do realise that's kind of cannibalism because some of our descendants breed with them? Melody: Eh It's A Good Point.. Comet: Is Ape Meat Okay?.. Vankir: I'm A Vegetarian, But For Everybody Else That's Okay. Splash: Eh Im Going To The Hot Tub If That's Okay Vankir: *Holding Berry's Then The Bandit Brothers Snatch Them* Dang, Forgot. *Everybody Hears Bandit Brothers Wrestling With Balance Sisters* Melody: I'm Out, Comet: Btw Where Is Mooneye And Cresent? Cresent: Here.. -_- Mooneye Is Busy Bothering With Death Which Isn't Surprising Mooneye: *Yells* I HEARD THAT!!! Anameme: Let's Just Watch Slaughterhouse Rules, Everybody Else Except Mooneye: HECK NO! Mooneye And Anameme: HECK YES!!! Splash: Please shut up! I'm playing with some clownkoi and fish!! >:c Wip

I have a way of Interpreting Anameme's paw. She spiritually always had it, but it had an odd way of existing. When her emotions were high and she was tense, a transparent-spirit paw was there to help her in the heat of battle.

i.loved.EVERYTHING, it really was able for me to get a better grip on not only the desighn of these characters, but what they also meant to the tribes both in the past, and in the present. I was also able to know about some gods/goddess that i did not hear from a video

this is so amazing! i think that who we start with in the AHVHC challenge [mist] should be a goddess of fortune, luck or hope. always thwarting mulberry's misfortune and leading her tribe to impress even anemone in their versatility of such a dangerous and blood-stained land.

Nice!~ I have a few Gods for my tribes. Dukraduk - God of Flight Lais - Bringer Of Knowledge Moonlight & Sunlight - Gods of Night and Day Destiny and Miracle - Goddesses of Harvest Anameme (not the same as yours!) - Queen of the Nursery Soaris - Goddess of Sacrifice Lotus - Tracker of the Grasses Sugar - God of Pathing (like, leading someone to a direction.) Here is each of their stories - Dukraduk: He was my first creature born with wings. He'd often fly tree to tree, collecting food from them. Lais: She was a wanderer I found. She's one of the oldest deities. She had the purr snout, nimble fingers, and the digging paw. She taught my tribe how to dig up the roots and delicately pick from the bushes. Moonlight & Sunlight: They were the first twins born to my tribe. Moonlight would stay in the tall grass, avoiding contact. He would also stand out on his last turn, embracing the moon. But then he'd slink back in the shadows. His little sister, Gemini, would often take out the tall grass around him. Gemini and Moonlight had some serious sibling rivalry. Sunlight was the opposite. He would bathe in the sun, often trying to tempt his brother to come with him. Destiny and Miracle: They were my first cracker-jawed creatures. In a island full of trees with no nimble fingers, they really increased our food supplies. They also had one nimble finger, and the running leg. They could crack an acorn, pick a berry, and easily speed away. Anameme: She was the daughter of my starting pair, and the oldest deitie on this list. She discovered an entire ring of permanent nests, which she helped other females get to. She often used them. She had the most children of any of my nichelings, with 10 children. But, she felt like a mother to all. Soaris: She was a water bodied creature, born later on during an island switch. When her tribe was struck by a sick wanderer, she put herself in front of it while her other tribe members escaped to the ports. She unfortunately was too sick to make the journey, but her daughter Aqua made it. Lotus: Lotus was one of the creatures to make the island switch. She paved out the pathways for her children to walk on, all by herself. She mapped out of the grasslands and made sure to pull up grass behind her. She is the reason my tribe has pathways. Sugar: Sugar was born with the double wings, but he had the same immunity genes. This made his life span incredibly short. His tribe wanted to move islands, but they didn't know where to head. So, he placed himself atop a tree, and instead of eating a healing fruit, he helped guide his tribe to the ports. These are my deities and their stories!
