I have watched this tutorial a couple of times now and kept telling myself ‘no, you don’t need ANOTHER pattern, use the ones you have’, but after chanting that to myself for four days I decided I’m no good at telling what I need or don’t need. So I got it 😇. My Mom and I are going on a kidless adventure to Disneyland in April and I think we just found our park bag!

Thank you so much for leaving the zipper error in. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who sometimes works ahead of the pattern! And knowing you were able to “save it”- even after trimming the seam allowance - is great to know!!

I am pretty new to sewing bags but since I found your channel I have grown addicted to trying. You make amazing tutorials. I love that you leave all of the little "mistakes" in your videos and how you explain everything so well. I have found others to go way too fast or just say what to do and not show. I am very much a visual learner. Thank you for giving me the motivation to try.

It's a cute bag. Your fabric selection, as always, carries the day. I'm a Maleficent fan from decades ago! I can't express enough how refreshing it is to see a mistake, or 2, in a tutorial video. Now please don't take that the wrong way. I love your videos and you sparkle! Just keep on making more videos!

I'm always amazed at how you put fabrics together! For instance, I would NEVER have paired the blue wpc with that Yoda fabric but NOW... I can't see it without it!! I always stress on making all of the fabrics match. You remind me that we don't have to be perfect!!! It CAN and DOES look good without perfection!

Jess, Its so crazy! When this video debuted I had just sat down to cut the pattern out. I just love your tutorials they are so informative. I really like that you go thru each pattern piece, the interfacing and everything that you need to make the bag. Explaining so well. Please keep these wonderful tutorial coming.

Jess, I started this bag this am thinking I’d be done by noon. (I did cut it out yesterday). Major miscalculation. Took all day and I’m still not finished. But your video, which I have watched three times, was both a lifesaver and encouraging to know it wasn’t a walk in the park for you either. My seam ripper definitely got a work out today. Thank you so much for your videos. I really leaned heavily on this one today. But it is such a great bag.
