Thank you Kassiah. This is very similar to the Blue Calla Baronia Bowler, which I made recently. The pattern is written similarly for finishing on the corners….but Celine’s video has an alternate solution to finish without the binding. It’s kind of cool. Love how this turned out. Oh boy, figures I'm a bit late on this but maybe you will check back. I am just starting this bag and am getting all caught up on the different interfacings. I have never worked with decovil light but did order some (hasn't come in yet). However, I am making the bag out of a heavier, tapestry type material; which I work with quite a bit and generally use a fleece interfacing. I guess I could just wait (God forbid) and try the decovil on a scrap but I am wondering if two layers of interfacing is warranted on heavier material maybe just the decovil light?? Maybe I should just be patient (not!)

I successfully made this bag but it wasn’t easy to do the bottom. It was very difficult to birth it and turn it right side out. I used real leather on the bottom and when turning it right side out some of the stitching came out and I had to hand sew it back on. I also forgot to put the D rings on and had to use the seam ripper yet again. I made a second one and top stitched the bottom of the line with matching thread instead of struggling to turn it inside out. It’s an adorable looking bag but a lot of work and hard on the hands.

I wish you would add items to the bags after you're done to have a better idea how much you can fit in some of these smaller bags. The bottom seems like it holds a lot but with the zipper closed it seems that everything will poke thru. I love the bag and you're video is great.

Question, I know this is from a year ago and I didn't read the comments if this has already been suggested. is it possible to box the exterior prior to doing the lining? Then pull the lining bottom through the lining zipper pocket and box the lining....no facing at all....or am I way off on that as a possibiity?

How long did you make your vinyl strap? I know the pattern calls for sewing two shorter pieces of cotton cut on the bias to make a longer strap. The width of my vinyl is 54”. I could buy the correct yardage to be able to get the length, but that is a lot of yardage for just a strap. Do you think 54” will be okay? I know it’s considerably shorter than the pattern.
