Im Chinese and what Shane's dad did is exactly what my parents check (in books and online) and do on themselves when something is aching. For example, if you're coughing, you should press on the skin between your thumb and your index, about an inch in and it will make you stop. To pass a gallbladder stone, you need to press hard on the 4th toe of each foot. Feet, ears and hands are where there are the most amount of connections to the rest of the body, and if you press around and somewhere hurts more, keep pressing hard there because it means something is blocked somewhere.

Team fake tree all the way. No bugs, no dirty, no mess, it’s easier to move around, you can bend the branches in any way you want, you don’t have to take care of it, you aren’t killing a living thing just to throw it away in a few weeks, you can use it year after year, you don’t have to worry about it dying before Christmas… honestly U don’t understand why anyone would want a real tree. The only reason I have heard is the smell, but just light a candle lol

I am a remedial Massage Therapist and 100000% agree with Chinese medicine. It is so fascinating! I've studied a little bit of it but need to study much more into it! I believe you would benefit from seeing a chiropractor as well Jess! Highly recommend!
@KristenSP2 жыл бұрын
I strongly agree about the chiropractor! I'm also a massage therapist, but I work out of a chiropractic office, so I generally refer out for any kind of Asian bodywork. I believe that you have issues on the left side from carrying all your kiddos around over the years. Getting frequent bodywork (massage, energy work, chiropractic adjustments, PT, etc.) and practicing yoga will help treat these issues and prevent them from reoccurring in the future! Hope this helps! Love you, Jesss! 😁❤️

I love having a real Christmas tree. When I visit my Dad in Idaho, we get a permit from the Forest Service to cut down our Christmas tree and it is so much fun to find the perfect tree. 💗 But when I celebrate Christmas in AZ, we just use a fake tree. I saw a Chinese medicine specialist when I lived in Chicago and it was a major game changer for me! 💗 I am sure that you can find someone near Sacramento to continue treating you and helping you heal.

Nothing scarier then seeing a random sketchy person on your private property who runs away when they encounter someone connected to the owners and give a flimsy excuse as to why they are there and what they were doing. I grew up with having live fresh cut Christmas trees that we picked out and cut down at a Christmas tree farm 25-30 minutes away from our house. It was a huge tradition with all 7 kids piled into the family vehicle, only those who were 3+ years old went with Dad and those who were younger stayed home with Mom who pulled out most of the Christmas decorations and prepared the area in the living room where the tree would go. After finding the perfect tree we each got a fresh homemade doughnut and either hot chocolate or apple cider, that the owners family made , and of course we each got a candy cane. When we got a letter telling us that the farm had been sold and they wouldn’t be selling trees anymore Dad said our tree that year would be a 2.5 foot tall potted Norfolk pine that screamed Charlie Brown tree because it couldn’t hold any ornaments. He refused to buy an overpriced pre-cut tree that had been cut weeks ago. I was never the rebellious child or caused any problems because I saw how the actions of my older siblings had had on the family. Well that year I refused to have to settle for that horrible potted tree and I had my older sister and her take me to a stand so I could buy the family a Christmas tree using the money I earned babysitting. The stands were a bust and her boyfriend took us to a fancy garden nursery and I found a gorgeous fresh cut tree. It cost $40.00 which was outrageously expensive back then. We took it home and had it decorated and had run up to bed right before Dad got home from choir practice. He was shocked to find a tree in the living room, but he couldn’t do much about it at that point and no one told him who paid for it. We did put some paper decorations and tinsel on his potted tree. He went out and purchased an artificial tree during the after Christmas sales. That thing was hideous and skinny. The next year while our parents were out the 5 youngest siblings piled into our suburban and went to a building supply/home improvement store that had Christmas trees and purchased one. We hadn’t really been able to see how it looked because it had been wrapped and it had been sleeting and had a layer of ice on it. We took it to the basement and hid it behind the ping pong table which was folded up because we weren’t currently using it. We trimmed the trunk and put on the tree stand and watered it. We made it so you couldn’t see it and left it to thaw out so we could remove the mesh covering and bring it up and decorate it when Dad wasn’t home. It turned out to be a really gorgeous full tree and by the next day the whole basement smelled of fresh pine tree. Dad put his foot down and said that we had to use the fake tree the next year. One of my sisters got married before Christmas that year so that fake tree was in the living room. I purchased a small pine tree that I put in my bedroom and decorated. I quickly discovered that I was allergic to the tree and became very itchy and congested and wherever I touched the tree I broke out in hives. The tree only lasted a week in my room before it got moved to my sister’s room for the rest of the holiday. A year or so later my parents sold the house and moved to the mountains in southwestern Virginia and Dad found a Christmas tree farm and after talking with the owner he was granted an unbelievable deal that was honored by his family for over 20 years. Dad paid $10.00 for whatever tree he wanted no matter how tall or short it was. The house they bought had 18ft. Ceiling in the family room and Dad usually got a 12-15 foot tall tree. He had to attach thin cables to the ceiling beams to anchor it to prevent it from falling. The year I got married the tree stand broke and the tree fell. Thankfully no one got hurt and only 2 ornaments broke which was surprising as 99% of the ornaments were breakable. My husband and I used real trees until my allergies got worse and we had to use a very realistic looking artificial tree which I was also allergic to. After setting it up and decorating it I looked like I had been in a cat fight and lost. We have used a fake one for 20 years now.

The technique is called Tui na. More than a decade ago, I had slipped disc (MRI confirms it) due to a bad fall but there's nothing the specialist could help and even told me to return when my leg starts to feel numb. At that point, I couldn't even wear my pants while not having to hold on to something or having to sit on my bed so I gave tui na & bone-setting a try. After a few treatments, I got better and have no issue since then.

Jesss Chinese medicine is incredible! I actually went several years ago to a doctor Downtown Toronto about 1 hour from my place, I used him for a few years and had great success, my friend was needing a wheelchair and has MS, after he was in treatment for several months including drinking teas they made from who knows what my friend is back working as a mechanic and is a walking miracle! I just had a Chinese medicine group of people buy the house next door as a business, I think after seeing this cider I will re visit Chinese medicine, cost wise it’s not bad either.

Fan of three Christmas tree types of faked tree , cut tree and live tree depending on situation and my mood of year. I love using two small blue spruce alive potted trees at our house's front entrance outside and then we will planted trees in our yard afterwards. We will Christmas decorate these trees with different birds' foods to feed them during winter times after we had planted them in yard. My favorite type of Christmas tree if I have to choose one would be alive potted Blue Spruce trees! Blue Spruce trees to me are perfect beautiful form Christmas trees and they do smell so good that adds to Christmas decorate theme along with you give back to nature by planting these alive potted trees into your yard too!

My dad actually is a huge believer in traditional Chinese medicine. About 10 years ago he was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle condition, and when he found out he did a ton of research and talked to a lot of doctors. They actually live over seas in china, and he regularly goes and gets acupuncture done, and also takes traditional Chinese medicine in tea form. It’s done wonders for his body, and even though he still has the condition, it’s progression has slowed down tremendously. It’s also helped my mom a lot with her arthritis, and she’s had that similar ‘massage’ to what you were talking about.

We always get a real tree. There's a specific place we get it every year, but due to travel plans and immediately getting sick when we got home, we had to wait a week after we would have normally gotten it, and the place sold out 😔. So we piled in the car tonight and went to lowes (the only place open late enough bc my dad had to work) and went to look just in case they had any good trees, and we were able to find an amazing tree!!! We brought it home and set it up so it could fall tonight, and we're gonna decorate it tomorrow morning.

Well babies were sleeping , lights were on . I heard a popping sound ( more like crackling). Over and over . I thought it was the lights and it was going to catch fire. So I ripped the lights off. I could still hear it. Like what the heck ???? Turns out there were pinecones on the tree and they were opening up with the water going into the tree.

The fake ones last and you can use them year after year. Plus we have a cat and she would always go under it and sink the water and get sick and chew on the tree. So fake trees are not only less messy but also safer. 😁. I do remember as a kid going with my family to cut trees down though that was always fun. And going to pick out the tree was fun too.
