Have you tried shopping your closet? Sometimes it's really fun just to take the time to look at what you have and plan fun creative outfit combinations with the clothes, purses, scarves and accessories that you already own. I've been kicking a shopping habit myself and I find that shopping my closet scratches a similar itch to just shopping online and it also results in new outfit combos that I haven't tried before.

I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on luxury items over the past 8-9 months and haven't bought a designer bag since last July. I finally pulled the trigger on buying some Golden Goose sneakers that are arriving in a couple of days but feel so guilty doing so. I also wanted to buy a Loewe mini puzzle for my birthday but keep going back and forth on it. Instead, I've been putting all my extra money towards extra mortgage payments and the stock market. Maybe it's the state of the economy and/or only going into the office 2-3 times a week post-COVID that doesn't compel me to spend as easily as I used to. I'm trying to enjoy the things I already have moreso than purchasing new things. It's a mindset shift, but maybe it will help you too so you can curb your spending on things that are worth the wait :)

Nice video. It's a good idea to focus and not get distracted by things that are less important to you. It really does add up! And I know you also said you don't want to expand beyond the shelves behind you, so it also takes up space. I'm trying to embrace the philosophy that I can appreciate something without having to have it. I also have a little spreadsheet where I have all my bags listed as columns and each day, I put the date in the column of the bag I'm wearing. Not everyone would be interested in doing this, but I find it fun and illuminating. And having it all laid out helps you appreciate what you have and encourages you to try to add more dates to the ones you already have before accumulating more. Good luck!

a good tip is to create galleries on your phone with all the clothes and accessories you have in your closet. I was shocked to find out that I have so much bags, shoes and outerwear in my wardrobe. 😮😂Also, when you go shopping, it's convenient to see if you already have something similar in your wardrobe and see what you could combine it with! I apologize for possible grammatical errors, because I don't use English often🙏🏼🙈

I've also noticed that it's easier to pull the trigger on 10 "affordable" bags (whatever the numbers are) than to save up and buy one bag I really can see keeping around for a while. But it's so addictive to always have something on its way, isn't it?

Hi Jessie, I definitely know how you feel. I was just thinking the other day, do I have any packages coming? Last one I got was a pochette accesoires and I remember the excitement on finding it online after Dacob mentioned he got his online. It came and it was made in France too but the way the bottom part of the canvas lined up to the the front was so wonky! It quickly brought me down and then I told I had to re-evaluate my collection and remember why I had to clean out my collection last time.... just hooked on buying one thing after the other and not being able to use it all... I think I am going to take an inventory and have some sort of bag diary... writing down and looking at what I have would probably help me from going back the being and handbag addict 😂🤣 I love your collection. I was surprised when you sold all your other bags. I was eyeing a couple of them 😍

When the pandemic started I was already dealing with health issues a few years prior that resolved during the pandemic. The pandemic was part of the reason that caused me to purchase my first luxury designer handbag when restrictions started being lifted. Part of my thinking was if I don't do it now, then I probably won't later in life and these things should be enjoyed while I still can. I don't have a large handbag collection but what I do when I plan my purchases is I keep 2 logs. One with a picture of each bag with dimensions, materials, when I purchased it, price, and purpose and one with just the picture of each bag and I have it broken down by season. If I am thinking of adding a bag I will compare to these lists to try to avoid overlap and temporarily add a picture of any potential bag(s) (trying to have the pictures to scale of the actual bag) to my collection to see if goes well. I keep only the picture log with my SLGs and I have also started doing this with silk scarves/twillies as well. I love silk scarves/twillies but since they are at a lower price, I find I have to watch the spending on these because they add up easily. Hopefully things go well with wearing your bags more that you are not wearing. Thanks for sharing! Xx

Hi Jess!! Although I don’t collect bags I do collect other things and it’s a struggle for me to overcome that part of myself. There’s a need for me to feel “complete” so I become obsessive and it consumes me instead of me consuming it. I have become a servant to these things and it’s really sad that I can’t enjoy them because I’m looking for the next fix that will fill the hole I’ve made in my own soul. The only way for me to overcome one addiction is to find a new one. My latest involves creating and I found that possibilities are only limited by my own imagination. As a content creator for luxury, immersing yourself in research for your channel probably is not the best for shopping addiction, but I am happy you are getting to know yourself better and what works for your lifestyle. I hope you can continue to challenge yourself by creating more content that doesn’t involve unboxings, exception for the b25 of course ;) Good luck!!

I will be parting ways with many pieces in my LV collection. I am retired now so I really don’t have the need for so many accessories especially the larger handbags and wallets. I’ve purchased a few smaller bags that are more suitable for my needs now but I’m no longer going to buy like I use to. I was never into Hermes. They’re just not my style, not to mention the hefty price tag. I find them too structured and not for casual wear. I’m also not a fan of leather handbags. I find leather to be heavy. I prefer the lightweight of the canvas material which is why I was drawn to the LV canvas but again, I think I’m done now.

I agree with u. How one person wears so many bags. I have a lot of bags too and I don't wear most of them. I am on the journey for Hermes bags. Buying Hermes jewellery and watches that i don't own any in my collection feel like i am using them. What I think for you is to stop buying bags all together and concentrate on saving up for a black or neutral Birkin 25 that u might use it often. No more contemporary bag or Loewe bag as it does add up. 😊❤
