You people who comment about her "stepping down", you realize that the majority of the populace does not spend 500 bucks on a purse? For most it's because they think that it's a ridiculous waste of money, for some it's because they cannot afford it. So that cheapo, throw away bag would be so special to to some people, for others a silly non-issue. If you love bags, you love bags. I was trying to decide what bag to wear last night when I decided to pull out a Pietro Alessandro bag from about 2008. It's a slouchy, double handle, black hobo with the softest, most delectable leather. I cannot find another like it (I've googled just out of curiosity), and probably couldn't get more than 50 bucks for it, but when I put it on last night I felt fantastic! If you have style, you make whatever bag you wear, fantastic. Solely basing your bags on a high price just typically ends up making you look like a fashion victim rather than a leader.

Proud of you Jess! Id still love to hear you talk about fashion topics without buying :) Perhaps having a budget and goals you’d like to save up for? Like instead of buying a new bag, you can use it to travel somewhere with the bags you already love ❤Something that’s helped me with being addicted to shopping is the “30 day rule” for something I want rather than need. If I still like it after 30 days I can get it. Usually, I don’t like it anymore or it’ll stop me from being tempted to buy things impulsively if it’s limited or only one left, etc 😅

I finally used therapy to work through my " why" I shop. I wasn't spending all my money/putting my livelihood in danger, but I was over shopping, "collecting" and more impulsive buying. I highly recommend,,because there is a deeper conversation there waiting. Ive started to push myself to shop all my clothes, mix up my styles within my wardrobe. Lots of love, Jes. We see you ❤

I am lucky to have a “monitor”. Don’t laugh but the monitor is Hermes. 😂 Thankfully I am allotted only one bag a year from them. That’s it. They actually help me control myself by offering sparingly. I actually am glad when it comes late in the year because it continues to be something to look forward to. I don’t buy any other brand bag now so that helps too. I also started one in one out a few years ago. I have slowly rid myself of all my LV and all but 2 chanel pieces. My closet looks so clean and neat and I can see everything I own and I use each bag. I think every person has to find their own way to peace. There may be failures along the way but you just keep trying until you find the road that works for you!❤

Ive had shopping issues since covid. You’re not to blame in anyway. Its such a personal thing which a lot of us are going through. Really appreciate your open & honestness about this. Im sure I would have found labubu’s and bags etc and want them even if you didn’t show them. Ive always been a hello kitty and cute stuff lover and always will be. I enjoy that about your channel. Try your best and always remember to show yourself love and compassion if you fall off the wagon or make a mistake. Any addiction doesnt get fixed quickly and no one expects it to be. Cold turkey doesnt work for me. Fall off the wagon and spend more than I would have done. Baby steps helps me. Im getting better overtime but its a slow process. Still get tempted lots and buy random bags and bits if not too expensive. I always start the year with a handbag plan. Less on the list each year. But if its on the plan its guilt free fair game. If its not much thought is needed and could be better for the 2026 plan if I still want it then. Ive got 5 bags on it for 2025 Dont expect to get all either but if they come up at a decent price its guilt free. One on the list a ballarina pink glitter telfar bag hasnt even been invented yet 😂 but its on the plan so if it is I can get it guilt free. It means Im purchasing with as much thought as possible. We’re human not robots. Be kind to yourself always ❤

I never really bought very expensive bags but I do like to shop, mostly books and jewellery and all matter of little things... but there is no keeping it up with all the wants. The more you buy the more there seems to be for the next purchase. I went cold turkey too for a while. Now I make a list of things that are actually useful for me like jeans or good walking shoes. And I take my time searching for the item.

Good luck Jess. I had done cold turkey, minimal buy , wishlist , no wishlist , etc. And failed again and again. BUT instead of looking at each failure, I saw it as an opportunity to keep going and learning. And it gets easier. The problem with us bag lovers is that we are constantly excited for the new stuff, but we forget about the stuff we already have. So even though the answer is NO, dont forget that you had many YES’s in your existing collection that bring you joy…it will help to reduce disappointment when you walk away from temptation

I think there comes a time where these conversations have to happen. What would like to see more of is - styling the bags we have, what fits in bags , how to get the look for less ( not fakes) I also think shifting our collections is a great approach. When I really want a new bag I wait at least 2 weeks then I sell whatever I’m not using to fund the new bag. I have realized I don’t even use some of my bags at the moment and I will sell them if I still feel that way in a few months.

Hey Jess, I ve been watching your channel for quite a time. I think you are a wonderful person.❤ But I ve seen you being at this point again and again. Buying tons of bags and charms would be okay for me if it really made you happy. But my feeling is, already for a while this is not the case anymore. Have you ever considered therapy to get over your shopping addiction? You might just need help in fighting this battle... And concerning your channel. Dont worry! I think there are a lot of people out there that would appreciate anything you talked about, perhaps even more. Just because of your lovely personality ❤

I agree with everything you said. I stopped buying bags around September this year because I was buying LV bags just because. I deleted my instagram bag account and all my KZbin videos. It’s a good habit to get into to say no to yourself because buying a lux bag should be a treat. I have far too many to the point I’ve not used some. It’s a terrible waste and I’m going to travel instead ☺️ I did order a bag charm from the new multicolour collection though to go with my vintage multicolour 😅

You help people shop with reviews which may cause less waste because you can review it and decide if it's something you want. This is a style channel and people just don't want to be told they are wasteful and bad when they shop. So don't take yourself to seriously. You are not a political channel or a therapist.

❤️you don’t need to 💸anything for the channel to be intresting and inspiering. It’s your thoughts about the bags and fashion or Labubu etc. thats intresting and it’s your knowledge and your energi when you talk about it that is gold. I’m looking forwards to 2025 and what you will be talking about❣️✨ And to say NO to 💸 is💪🏼💖 (I think about it like art: I don’t need to 💸 a Picasso🖼️ to appriciate it😀) Thanks for a ❤️📹

I got my B25 this year, i did something that i would not recommend to stop shopping. I made half the payment with credit card ( could have payed all at once but i did not want to touch my investment). And the discipline needed to pay the loan made me not buy much more of anything. I got a super mini marmont in irredescent that i loved and sold one LV Kusama pice due to vachetta and silk screen print. But every time a bag tempted me i think about the gorgeous bags i do have and the merciless payments needed to be done. Saying no is a muscle, over time it becomes easier. Now saying no to a thing or waiting does not make me feel agitated, irritable or sad anymore. Even when the stuff is sold out. When i think about my bank account growing it really helps too, to say no. Btw last tip, i found looking at preloved marked is extra triggering due to the limited availability, possibility to make a bargain and time crunch.

Making this decision so publicly is already very brave ! Have you considered maybe journaling at times when you want to spend to see if something is triggering your spending ? I admit I have a similar habit but I have adjusted after moving to Canada and being away from luxury for a while.

I’m aiming to reduce my consumption of clothing and accessories in 2025. I have been improving in this way bit-by-bit every year (in 2024 I purchased only half as much as the year before, but still bought too many superfluous pieces). I just rewatched your 2023 video where you reflect on bags you bought that year…and I realised you’ve progressed too. You bought way more in 2023 than 2024. Keep up the trend of reducing the spend!

Your channel is about shopping and spending that's how you are building up your subscriptions. That's the nature of the game. If you can afford the rates of spending then keeping going maybe a brand will like you enough and start sending you bags for free, just like to other KZbinrs get luxury bags thrown at them from luxury fashion houses. Most KZbinrs do not declare whether they are gifted the bags they promote.

We need to find a joy in our life I told myself just buy what makes you happy if you paid your bills and you can afford what you wish to get, I can control myself, but I can’t unfortunately. That is not right. Thank goodness that I have a responsible husband who bought a house and paid off my car 😅 otherwise the entire family would end up living in the streets because of my bad habits 😅 feeling guilty is the beginning of the recovery, I hope 🤞

Jess, I am in your team. 2025 is no buy year at all( for bags and luxury) . It is enough ! My last bag was end of November which is the Chanel Kelly from cruise collection . Now I am convinced my collection ( 20 bags) is complete . I will focus on savings and others investments that can bring passive income. I will keep watching luxury but without participating. Don’t sell your bags plz !! Why should we suffocate ourselves and giveaway the things that make us happy ??! Never

Jess, be gentle with yourself and know that you are not alone with how you are feeling right now ❤. I too spiraled this year and over consumed to cope with things, and it’s made me feel very uncomfortable lately. Recently there seems to be a lot of unboxing content and overload of inventory on these resale sites … I see how It could be overwhelming and difficult to stay focused, I feel this way and have had to unfollow and avoid so that I could heal. The reality is there will always be another bag/item that will be more shiner/better than what we currently have. Our mind will try to justify the next purchase and if we aren’t careful the chase will never end. At some point we’ve got to hit the enough button and just be glad. You have a beautiful collection Jess and I enjoy your content! Please love the pieces you adore and let go of those that are meh to you. Declutterring has helped me a lot in healing my own shopping challenges. You got this!
