There are a lot of dead trees around your new pond and new metal source that you have access to or just need 1 staircase. Both North and south.

Indeed. I'll be using them both.

If I'm not mistaken you can build TNT on paths now.

Those engines are a trap. The minute you start depending on them instead of using them to create a permanent bad water wheel setup, the colony is doomed.

16:14 Extend your levee wall to just before water wheels. Since the badwater enters river from a higher point, have it enter the center of river with an aqueduct & fork the good water to each side. More green. This involves move levees. Build more water wheels, since badwater is endless. Those engines burn alot of wood & take beavers to run them.

If you build a Double floodgate in front of that dam with a levee on top, it can be used to close that dam to keep More water in the ne lake.

Happy Saturday! Ya I very rarely ever play on hard mode. It is just not fun to me. Like you said so much time is waisted and if you want to use water wheels you are out of luck unless you can get bad water to keep flowing. As for the water I would look into dumping bad water right off the map where the water comes in at. No reason to keep poising you water supplies every time bad tied comes in. Also you keep lowering the water level. It was like 1.9 then 1.6 now you have it at 1.5 and you did not raise the flood gates so you got this long drought and you don't have a lot of stored water. At one point you had 29 beavers and you keep pumping water. You had like 3.5k water. I would not be pumping water when there are that few beavers. You said that you did not need to worry about water but then you left 6 beavers pumping water. You should think about switching out more of the birthing pods for the ones that give you adult beavers. I think that will help with the population. I know you like to keep a few to help buffer when beavers die. The pods seem to all sink up I believe because of when the beavers get off work in their downtime they bring water and berries to the pods. So I don't think the kid beavers will help. I typical just build extras :) Hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing :)

You have 400 dynamite - start making water dump locations to keep your crops and trees irrigated

Yeah, I really need to use them to deepen the water.

Don't tunnel vision on oaks. Birch grow way faster, so it's a better choice up top where your trees get poisoned during bad tide season. You now spent a whole lot of time waiting for oaks to grow; if you had planted birch, you would've had logs by now. Again, dynamite out the river around the dirt excavator. It'll keep your berries watered longer, and you can pump out water there (instead of right next to your crops / trees). Please build more waterwheels so you can get rid of the engines. They use way too many logs (you're short on logs all the time). Keep the content and the coffee flowing!

I know you love oaks, but would it not make more sense to have a wide variety of trees so you always have logs coming in, instead of waiting on trees that take forever to grow and may also be dying so much due to hard mode being stupid hard?

Yeah, I've considered changing tree types a couple of times. Probably need to.

@@MrStoneIV_ Another reason might just be hard mode gives so very little time to let those massive oaks grow. I would say put oaks where you know water will be the longest. Then put quicker growing trees where water starts leaving first. It might work?
