Mike. I love your videos and always learn from each and every video. Thank you for all your contributions to scale heli builds and flights. Assembling mechs for a to an 429 and this video is perfect to make sure my setup goes right.

FANTASTIC you saved my machine. I was going to sell it till I saw what you did with your dog house. now it is back on the "I'm keeping it fleet" THANKS!!!!!!

THATS FRICKEN AWESOME!!! These newer helis seem to fly so well it’s hard to see them be put on the shelf because of a situation like the dog house. Guess I’ll have to do a more In depth vid on what I did….

@@JestRR thank you so much. I’m building the Roban 800 UH-1, it’s my first scale build and the manual is horrendous to say the least.

Nice job by the way Mike. You really brought that to a new level. Awesome idea with the split engine hatch. I’ve gone through a lot of ball links taking my rotor head off multiple times.

Hello Mike. Love your videos. My name is Adam. I was wondering if you could help me with a vibration issue on my Roban MD-500E 800. First off what headspeed would you recommend? The blades are balanced and the helicopter runs smooth without blades and with blades at zero pitch. I have the mechanics on a test flying rig and when I pull pitch to fly. I get a nasty vibration. As soon as I land and reduce pitch it goes away. Any tips for me. Running a Egodrift 460kv on 12S with a Castle 160HV. Thanks in advance.

Couple of things to check…. Blade tension, make sure the blades move back and forth with the same amount of pressure to move it. If one is too tight, that can cause a vibration. Also check the thrust bearings. They have been known to be put in backwards and unlubricated. In the stack, the race with the smaller inner diameter goes towards the outside. And I’d start at 1200-1250 on the RPM.

Thanks. I will check those things out.

Thanks again for the information Mike. One more question, on your light controller setup, I see you have a battery amongst the mix. What size of battery are you using for this? I assumed the light controller worked off of the main batteries, apparently not lol Thanks again sir Rob Harris
@JestRR8 ай бұрын
Talking about the battery that is just under the front of the doghouse. Yes, that is the light controller battery and I believe it is a 2200 3S. One of my questionable batteries that I won’t fly an aircraft, but I will use for light programmers. The helicopter has its own battery, a 2200mah 3S for the radio system, and the main packs are two 5000 mah 6S packs making 12 S to run the motor

Hello again Mike. What is your preference in a LiPo battery charger ? Mine is a pos. Lots out there to choose from. Thanks Rob
@JestRR Жыл бұрын
Well this is what I have…an EOS 720i superDuo3 from Hyperion and an icharger 308 duo. I made up a charge box out of a RIGID tool case, put in two 1200 watt 12v power sources, one for each charger. That way I can charge 4 of my 6S 5000’s at a time!

Where did you get the blade holder for the 412 or did you make it yourself
@JestRR Жыл бұрын
I make all my own blade holders. 5-6 layers of cardboard wrapped in black tape
