I LOVE Dr. Who but I'm SEASONS behind. Thank you for reminding me of what a great show it is. I have a week off from work so now i have something to watch. I could totally get into legos. I've been working on puzzles and I usually have a miniature house kit I'm working on. It's very meditative and calming, which helps with my anxiety.

Ooh! You need to get caught up. Not sure how many seasons you're behind on, but it's worth it to catch up. Or just dive into the newest Doctor, they're really not referencing the most recent seasons at all in this current season. I'm loving playing with the Legos, but I do have a miniature bookstore kit that I need to put together. I'm noticing that building Lego is very meditative and calming and I need that right now.

Absolutely love the unapologetic attitude of enjoying the things that bring us joy! 32 and I still love the things I loved as a kid with my whole heart. Love your vlogs and your mentality Andrea! Merry Christmas to you! 🎄

Thanks for watching! As I'm getting older I'm gradually learning to stop apologizing for the things I love. :)

Awesome LEGO set! 😊 I sent my professional, adult son a big Lego set for Christmas. In fact, he gets LEGOs for every Christmas and birthday, because that’s what he asks for (he has a running list of the sets that he wants and their priority! LOL)! He has spent pretty much every Christmas Day of his life putting LEGOs together. I also sent a LEGO Advent calendar to a good friend of mine who also loves LEGOs. She’s 60, by the way! You’re never too old for LEGOs! 😊

I'm loving getting back into LEGO. You're right that you're never too old for LEGO! :) I need to look up the LEGO advent calendar, that sounds so cool!

☀️🌙 I have a Lego club with my students once a week, and I think it’s so much fun that I basically get paid to play with Lego. 😂 We also made a Lego flower bouquet at one of our staff meetings this year. Lego is for all ages!! I’ve been meaning to watch the latest Dr. Who episodes. Now you’ve convinced me to start right away. I am excited for you to have a well-deserved Vlogmas break very soon! Although it will be odd not to have a daily video from you. It’s become my evening routine to hang out with you haha

That's awesome that you do Lego with your students! A Lego club is a great idea! Definitely watch the latest season of Doctor Who, I was so pleasantly surprised. Having Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffatt back is a breath of fresh air for the series. :) And aww, thank you, I'm enjoying the break, it is much needed. New videos will be back very soon though. But if you start missing my vlogs, there's several years of old Vlogmases you can go back and watch lol. ;)

🌞🌕🎄I played Lego as a child. As an adult I love doing jigsaw puzzles. I need to go back to Lego at some point.

I really enjoy jigsaw puzzles too. I just don't have a good space to work on them at my apartment. But Mom and I are working on one at my parent's house and it's so fun. :)

☀🌙 Funny enough. I know classic Doctor Who that I watched on BBC (my TV staple growing up) but none of the newer ones (with the exception of David Tennant) - Literally started adding all the Doctor Who episodes as well as the specials on my Disney + watchlist while you were discussing it :) Legos are the one thing that's been constant throughout my life - From childhood to adulthood :) Nephew and I play Legos almost every day and it is so relaxing! And you're right, who says adults can't still partake in stuff they loved as a kid? Speaking of the importance of childhood magic, I rewatch "Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey" every year since it came out about a toy inventor betrayed by his apprentice, losing his toymaking magic mojo which gets rekindled by his granddaughter. My favourite song (it's a musical btw) is "Square Root of Possible" about the magic of possibilities and the power of believing in yourself when others have deemed you insignificant or underestimated you (my personal life anthem). Rewatching that movie around Christmas time makes me believe I can do anything which is powerful going into the new year :)

Keep me posted as you get caught up! I need to go back and rewatch some of my older favorites from the newer seasons. It's hard to believe the "new" Doctor who has been around for so long now! And I really need to watch Jingle Jangle, that's been on my list since it came out and I still haven't watched it.

Canadian viewer here! Yes, people live up North! Many of the communities are accessible only by plane (although in the winter, a lot of isolated communities become accessible by ice road.) I was offered free university tuition for my teaching degree if I signed a contract to teach up North after graduating. But I had to decline because that simply is not the life for me. 😂 I’m a sunshine gal. ☀️ Where I live, the sun rises around 9am right now and sets around 3:30pm.

The northern part of Canada is so fascinating to me, so much coastline but also so cold and remote. I'm fascinated by the arctic in general. I love the night sky and don't really get to see it much in Phoenix, so I think living somewhere with so much night time would be amazing. :)

🌅 Hi, really enjoyed the vlog. Your joy this vlog was contagious. That lego set looks awesome! I play legos with my niece, but I wouldn't mind getting some for myself. One set I would want to get is the Up house lego set. It's one of my favorite Pixar movies. I like Dr. Who but I stopped watching a long time ago. I should try to pick it up again but there are way too many things to watch.

It was such a lovely winter solstice this year. I'm glad my joy came through in the vlog. :) If you want to pick back up with Doctor Who, you can jump straight into the most recent series. It was a pretty big reset with both the Doctor and the companion. So it's a good jumping in series. :)

I LOVE Doctor Who! But I fell off with Peter Capaldi. Matt Smith was MY Doctor. My first Who episode was the episodes with the “Gangers”. I almost was too creeped out to continue watching but I went back to the beginning with Christopher Eccleston, watching his run, through Tenant’s run, and then catching up with Matt’s run. I’ve rewatched those seasons countless times. When I started watching Doctor Who, my dad thought it was funny as his brother, “the nerd” of his brothers, watched the original run while they were living in Nova Scotia on base, when they were kids. He couldn’t believe I was watching it, all these years later. My favorite episode is the Van Gogh episode. 🌻 Seeing Vincent’s struggle played out on screen felt so personal and intimate in how Amy and the Doctor went about trying to make his life matter to Vincent. Definitely worth another rewatch. I think you’ve got me ready for another rewatch from the Eccleston era, and I’ll make my way through to Jodie’s and Ncuti’s eras. I think I’m well due for another rewatch. I’ll get to I think a Doctor Who and LEGO night sounds wonderful! 🌕🌞🌕

Tennant was the Doctor who got me hooked on the series, but Matt Smith was the first full season I watched each week as they came out, I saw all of his first season before seeing all of the seasons before him. I loved Capaldi, his seasons were amazing. I really love Jodie Whitaker as an actor, and her seasons were good, they just weren't as good as the previous seasons, but Ncuti has been absolutely incredible, he reminds me of a combo of Tennant and Smith, but he also has his own unique spin. :)
