Ha! I feel you there. I'm coming to understand that He has not changed, but now that He's fully invaded our darkness (ye olde "flesh") our ability to see properly is increasing (thanks to a crescendo of revelation from the inside). This is because (simply and profoundly) Jesus has shown us the Father, and the Trinity won't give up on us. Their love and commitment is so intense I believe Old Testament writers were grappling to put it into (human) language, into images the blinded culture could understand. Turns out He is in the business of weaving imperfections like this into beautiful, perfect tapestries, so the Old Testament comes to life through the lens of Christ's revelation. I still struggle with all the OT "wrath" and "curse" this and annihilate that, etc. etc., but it is inevitable that we'll all see the loving truth behind the thick-ass veil....which has been ripped now, thank God. Let the Goodness flow, yeah? For diving deeper into this, I can recommend going straight to the source and asking God questions like how He sees you, what have you (and others) misinterpreted in this life, how are you already participating in His Life without realizing, etc. And expect and listen for answers. (These questions come from Baxter Kruger. In addition to Baxter's work, I also recommend Dr. Bruce Wauchope, who has some stellar videos here on YT, if you're so inclined.) Because the narrators of the Old Testament had a VEILED perspective of “God” & IMPOSED their bigotry & legalism upon Elohim. Which is why Jesus corrected that p.o.v. when He said you have heard (from OT teachings) BUT I SAY! Jesus brought COMPLETE CLARITY TO THE HEART OF GOD.
