Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Gospel of John in this sermon from John 18:1-14 entitled, “Jesus’ Arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane.”
John’s purpose in John 18:1-14 is to record the events of Jesus’ arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane and His being taken to the former high priest Annas. In these events we see that Jesus not only knew what was going to take place, including the suffering and His crucifixion, but also that He willingly submitted to the Father’s will for Him to suffer. In this we behold Christ’s perfect example of obedience and also the great love with which He loves us.
The following is a sermon from John 18:1-14, and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
