When you think about the lyrics to this song. Remember they apply to everyone. Not just us Christians. He loves everyone, so let's emulate that and redeem the Christian name. Let's make people hear the word "Christian" and think caring, loving, compassionate, and strong faithed. Not judgemental, hypocritical, mean, and hurtful. His love extends to all, but some still reject it. Also remember being gay is not a sin, but acting out on it is. Been listening to this song a little more than usual due to the fact that my GF left me after 2 years for another guy. I truly loved and cared about her, we had all these plans, she made all these promises, I gave her the promise ring of her dreams and than less than a month later she leaves me. I can honestly say I've hit rock bottom and this song has given me hope. There's been times where I would wake up crying from having memories/dreams of her and us together, I tried everything I could to try and get her back but it didn't work. I don't think I truly understood what it meant to hit rock bottom until now. I've never felt so worthless, unloved, and ashamed of myself until now. There's been times where I thought I wouldn't be able to do it but this song changed my life and I want to thank you Jesus Culture as well as the Lord Jesus Christ for his love.

This is for Diane Taylor, because KZbin won't let me post to her question: LOL! I love it! Tell her that made me smile big! First of all, sweet sister, the Holy Ghost IS THE HOLY Spirit. It's just that the KJV says Holy Ghost, and the newer versions say " Spirit." YES, you are right, the Holy Spirit IS in all people who gave their heart to Christ, we all have SOME of the Holy Spirit, Who helps people change and desire to stop sinning. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 20 and quit smoking immediately, but, BUT 2 years later, due to a high stress situation, I let a demon of worry talk me into believing I needed a cigarette (thinking my husband was out, about to be killed by a gang). So I smoked one, and I never heard any conviction from the Holy Spirit NOT to. When he was not back 30 minutes later, I smoked another one, and then I was hooked again. Look up Matthew 25:1-13, for the parable of the 10 virgins, and you will see how we can all have "the oil," but many do not have enough (Holy Spirit is the oil). Long story short, I never believed that demons could live in us along with the Holy Spirit, but they can. (I learned that about 10 years ago). I allowed one to come back in by worrying, instead of getting on my knees and praying for my husband's safe return. THAT is what I SHOULD have done. But God didn't take the Holy Spirit away from me, nor my ability to pray in the Spirit. Once He gives you a gift, Father does not take it back. (there may be exceptions, not sure at this moment). Anyway, I smoked for 2 years before quitting when I got pregnant with my first daughter. Then the 2nd one decided to delay 3 1/2 weeks. During that time, my false labor pains put me into such anxiety that I started sneeking my husband's cigarettes, one here, one there. Then he bought me a whole carton the day she was born. (btw, that teenage gang was no match for my husband - he sent them running straight home to daddy and tore their door off, all for calling me a bad name, we didn't even know them). I don't know if I actually let a demon in THAT day, or if it came later, but the point is, I did not stay on course like I should have. I was not always like this, living holy, repenting everyday, trying my very best to stay pure, to keep my wedding garments clean. I had to go through deliverance to get rid of my demons, one of which was Jezebel. But, I was still filled with the Holy Spirit, prayed in the Spirit, and was a "good person." The Lord even started using me here on KZbin before my deliverance. Check out my first video or two from back in 2013. :-) One last thing, I was told that my gift of praying in tongues was of the devil, but not from a little voice. It was from BAPTIST PREACHERS. So I got on my knees and prayed in earnest: Father, if this ability to pray like this is from satan, then take it away! Take it away now! But if it is from YOU, then please increase my ability to pray even more, increase my vocabulary. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen" Up till then, I only said the same few sentences that always ended in the same phrase. I somehow knew that I was praising God and Jesus the way I felt when I prayed those few sentences. Well, my mouth started praying words that never came out before. And I went on and on. And I was delighted and knew the truth. My gift WAS TRULY FROM THE LORD! I pray this answers your question. God bless you and your mother!

praise the Lord if you only knew how much this helped me with some clarification. I use to think when you got saved the change became immediately, I now realize our whole walk with God is a gradual changing process that makes us more Christ like. Im sure I will face many attacks during my walk but the devil can never take my faith and belief in God away no matter what! I know his power and what he is capable of , have seen many miracles in my life , Again thank you so much Jeannie for your kind words of wisdom, I enjoyed your story as it made me smile as well.
