I saw Dallas homes many years ago. He was at a church near my house. He pulled up with a great big travel trailer. And they got to see him for free. I bought one of his C. D's and he autographed it.

The songs by Dallas from the 70's were favorites for years. From the 90's till 2 weeks ago never listened to a CD then during a difficult time in our lives my wife brought out ''Here we are'' album. I've listened to it and wept most of the way through at least 3 times since. I've been very filled up, challenged and given new Hope by each anointed song. Genuine ministry through music lives on...

Thanks for posting this song Dallas. My wife & I heard & met you for the first time in 1970 in Rochester, NY at a David Wilkerson crusade meeting. We were privileged to serve as Lay Missionaries for 21 years in NY & CT & have enjoyed & been inspired by all your music ever since first meeting you & David Wilkerson.. About 40 years later, we got to see you a second time just a few years ago in Forestburg, Texas at the Concert you presented at the Baptist Church there. What a joy it was hearing & seeing you again after all these years. It is inspiring to see you continuing to let your Light shine brightly for Christ. Hope to see & hear you again soon. You are included on our prayer list which we call in prayer, everyone by name on the list during our daily devotions.

Thank you for introducing your songs / music out to this Generation that didn't know your music. I'm looking forward to introducing your music to my grand children. So glad that I searched today for the song Here we are... it really touched my heart in 1979 . Was searching for a style of music to play on my acoustical guitar that would touch hearts . Your music actually did , it touched my heart and gave me a better understanding of our Savior Jesus and His wonderful love for us all. Hope to hear your writing New Songs in the next years. Words can't really reveal all that is in our heart, however we ALL are called to share our love for Jesus with the world. Thank you for sharing your heart in song it has made a difference to many !

God bless you. All the years. Sound better than ever. I was 12 or 13 and gave my life to Christ at a church campout. First CASSETTE TAPE I ever received was the tape with this song on it. I became a fan. All your songs, discs, digital-downloads now. You inspired, and helped when I was down or feeling good, no-matter. Formative years allow a solid foundation, and you were integral. Never was able to see you in concert, but wanted to badly. I saw almost everyone else (Andrae, Archers, Steve Green, Chuck Girard, Steve Camp, Ken Medema, et al., the list is long, even up to today's groups and artists!), but not the one guy who helped me the most. Disabled now, after 35 years (I have Myasthenia Gravis and MS), I played the piano and sang and pastored (not at your quality or caliber, on many levels, and your inspired talent!), I still desire to maybe one day get to see and hear a Dallas Holm concert, the one who was there first for my faith, when I prayed for Christ to hold me through life, and never let me go. And I prayed that if I ever was to drift or sway, or become distracted or lose my priorities, I asked Jesus to "steal my soul when I wasn't looking" (in the terms and limited-insight a 13-year-old boy would have!). Like this song. Your songs I've listened to, every new release, every time, every year, all through life. Thanks, from a little pilgrim in a far-away land called Nicholasville KY (next to Lexington and Wilmore). Thank you so much for being there in all your songs, all these years.

In today's world we have militant atheism. Some of Dallas's songs capture the times they were written in. This is one of those songs where spirituality is introduced to existentialism. In the next age it will be existentialism without spirituality. Pliny the younger in AD 110 described Christianity as a political association, that is without spirituality. When spirituality is gone and the world returns to an existentialist and political form of Christianity the songs of Dallas Holm will be considered the first steps away from spirituality. In that world these songs will be iconic.

“Thought I had peace of mind, but you never have peace until you open up and let Jesus in. “ -- sounds good, but be careful because this can be a bit misleading to cause people to think that we have seek God at some moment in time. Scriptures say otherwise, brother Dallas. What do they indicate our prodigal son condition is? “There are none who seek after God.” “And you hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sin.” We were lost, like Isaiah 53:1 says “All we like sheep have gone astray, each to his own way, and God has laid upon Him the iniquities of us all.” We were bind… “blinded by the God of this world.” So at our moment of awakening to truth, which is 100 % of God, we can’t see to open any door of our heart, just like the prodigal son, not realizing his Father would fully accept him back. The door in Revelation is to the churches.. they won’t let Jesus into their system of beliefs and instead he never gets to KNOW them in an intimate way. We were dead to the things of God, and running like the prodigal son, to get away from the father, not understanding how good he is. So how can a blind, lost, and dead person who is running from God find true peace? Only when we come to our senses by the spirit beginning a good work in us. Jesus is named Yeshua for a reason…”And you shall call his name Yeshua for He shall save his people from their sins (wrong thinking about God, life, and every important subject in life.) sin begins in the heart/mind. “All that matters in this life below is not what you are or how much you know, but the difference is made in the heart.” (Heart/mind connection to Father God must be restored to a new creation… by the only one who can create… by Him who baptizes us into the Body of Christ by the washing of regeneration by the spirit of God. In Christ alone I place my trust.. after he woke me up, not before.. I couldn’t even find the door to open it to a God I was told didn’t exist…. A loving God. A God who love keeps no record of wrongs. His whole message in judgement is Did I have an intimate relationship with you? Did I know you? John 17:3 tells that life is all about a Knowing… a knowing of the TRUE God and his Son Jesus Christ.
