Dodie Osteen (along with her husband John) co-founded Lakewood Church, one of the largest churches in America. She’s known to many as the mother of pastor and bestselling author, Joel Osteen.
In this clip, Dodie shares about her liver cancer diagnosis nearly 40 years ago.
John prayed bold and powerful prayers to God against the dark spiritual forces of cancer. John and Dodie were shepherding Lakewood Church and they noticed that the cancer was an attack against their ministry. The Osteens put their faith in God and He delivered them from their difficult season.

I've always believed God can supernaturally heal. Glad to hear he's still in the healing business. They're is coming a day soon that God will pour out his spirit and we will see the supernatural healing powers of God more than ever before. The ladder rain is coming!!! By his stripes we are healed.

Gods Servant7 I’m scared of cancer myself, and I can’t believe you had to go through something so horrible.. I’m relatively young, but I’ve always been a kid who’s anxious and scared of dying young, but what calms me down is that with Christians, it’s not “goodbye” it is “see you later” as long as you believe, when your time comes as well, you will be reunited with your son in heaven, you don’t need to worry, I know it doesn’t sound like much coming from a teenager, but I’ve been going through my own things mentally these past couple weeks, and I just want you to know that god loves us all, he puts us through these tasks in order to test our faith, sometimes I get scared of dying young, because I don’t want to leave my family or friends so soon, but aside from that, I want you to know your son is a lot happier, and he’s waiting for all of you to join him, life on earth is beautiful, but life in heaven is even better, so please don’t feel sad or lose any faith, your son is with god and he is happy.

I've heard Joel mention his mother's story many times, and I wanted to hear it again. Praise be to God in all things! Please pray for my brother, Eddie! Eddie was very recently diagnosed w/ C... (I don't even want to speak it out loud) ; we are a huge family, ; he has raised thousands and thousands of dollars for charities, and we simply cannot do w/o our brother. "It is no secret what God can do, what he has done for others, he will do for you." a song by Jim Reeves that I keep in my heart. Please command with me, that the C be removed from Eddie's body.
