This version of "Jesus In My House" was produced for
the 20th anniversary of the song.
We had actually recorded the basic tracks
a few years ago, thinking of using it
for some other production.
But we did not use it then.
The time did not seem to be right.
Then came this challenging year 2020...
when the world was confronted with the coronavirus, forcing us to remain at home
as much as possible in an effort to prevent
the spread of the virus.
And it seemed like the perfect time
to sing this song of hope and reassurance,
from our homes,
to each other and with each other.
Spontaneously we invited people to sing along
and in a short time we had 300 participating,
sending their voices in, singing
“I'm so glad that Jesus lives in my house".
Thank you for all your stories about this song,
what it has meant to you over the years,
how it has accompanied,
encouraged and comforted you.
That means a lot to me.
Thank you for enthusiastically sending your voices in! Thanks for your courage in doing so.
And thank you for making this special version
of the song with me
which will surely mark a time
when the world had to stop for a while
and consider...
Ha - and unbelievable but true:

My german brothers and sisters teached me this amazing song while I was living in Regensburg, Bayern, in 1999 / 2000... and I miss them and that time so much... it's been hard to get in touch with them... but... one day we'll be all together praising our lord Jesus in HIS house, for ever and ever! Hey Judy, I have sung along this song so often when I was younger, 15-22 yrs old. So often we would sing this song in our gatherings. I am 37 now. Somewhere along the way I have lost my faith in God, in Jesus Christ as our saviour, in the promise of reconciliation of all mankind. I struggled. Today I am struggling with this loss of faith. I thought I have had made my peace with being an atheist, not being dependent on faith or a "supernatural" entity called God. But for several weeks now I feel that there might be room in my life to welcome back the person we adress as Jesus Christ, who once played a great role in my life. I dont know how this will work out, but to hear this song reminds me a great deal of why I believed in God an his son Jesus Christ in the first place. Thank you!
