​@@mats-grandypvik6967if you want a real high gain high treble clanky but cuts really well typa sound both Jesus lizard and shellacs bassists used the Traynor ts50b through a power amp, but the sound is replicated almost exactly in the rusty box pedal, check them out

The amp has a gain boost switch that overdrives the preamp in a squarish way that’s harsh in a good way. It’s not for blues aficionados or people wanting to dial in Billy Sheehan.

Simms used the preamp from the Traynor and ran into an SVT. At least that was later on. The fundamental preamp tone is here. Everything from the pickups, strings, cab/speaker and microphone affects how his bass comes through on the albums. Great amp! Great demo on one of the many menacing tones you can get from it.

@@TobiasC-mg4zk nonsense. It doesn’t sound the same. I saw them live. Never saw an SVT. He used a combo amp, a Proco Rat and a cheap off-brand bass that I heard was purchased at a pawn shop for less than $300. He was a true punk rock bassist.
