Sophia performing at Fire & Ice Nationals, Destin 2013. Not her best performance, as she got a little ahead of the music! Still not bad for a four year old. Sophia is on Company at DC Dance Factory. Her highest placement with this dance was at StarQuest in Nashville, TN - she got 2nd place overall out of 24 children up to age 8!
This is her first solo, and her third performance.

Foot undies because she hates ballet shoes. :) She couldn't grip the floor for cartwheel or backbend with ballet shoes! She is doing her second solo this year and we finally talked her into Twyla's!

She dances very well at such a young age but as most young ones experience they either go that tiny bit faster or slower than the beat and are naturally a bit less flexible. Other than that it was fantastic😃

OK, I know this response is REALLY late...but she flat refused to do a back bend kickover in ballet shoes. She kept sliding, and she loved those foot undies! She had quite the personality, even at 4. :)
