"Jesu, the Very Thought of Thee" is attributed to the twelfth century monk, St Bernard of Clairvaux. It was translated into English by Edward Caswell.
The tune is 'St Botolph', written by Gordon Slater in 1929. The tune was named for St. Botolph's Parish Church in Boston, Lincolnshire, England, where Slater was organist from 1919 to 1927.
It is performed here by the Belfast Cathedral Choir.
