@TheDezmona17 күн бұрын
I haven't watched the video so I'm probably missing context, but as someone who has struggled with and overcame intrusive thoughts, my advice to anyone who has them is this: 1. Resisting them is likely the reason you're having them. Imagine you're constantly trying not to think of a pink elephant, if you do, you're gonna think of a pink elephant consistently. 2. You're resisting them because you DON'T want to do the things the intrusive thoughts display / You DON'T want to think/visualize them. That's why you're resisting them. Therefor, the intrusive thoughts are a malformed/twisted display of moral virtue, in a counter-intuitive way. Therefor you don't need to feel guilt, shame or fear when they happen. Be glad they're mere thoughts, NOT ACTIONS.

@@AaronAbke The Core 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW and the prophets. Matt 22:37-40 (KJV) “with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” means that the first commandment is to be obeyed under all circumstances. And this love of the first law is “to love (in a social or moral sense) -Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary”, it means to do the right thing. And who is God that we are to love no matter the circumstance? ...and the Word was God […and the Law was God]. John 1:1 (KJV). God’s word is law (rules, ethics, morals, principles,) Matt 4:4. Man must coexist to survive. To coexist we must have laws to protect the rights of all. God gave us laws that would allow us to do just that, live, IF adhered to. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Luke 21:33 (KJV). Let’s face it the laws that we choose to govern by are not working no matter where you live at in this world. It is not enough to just to confess that you believe in the [fairy tales] fables 1 Tim 1:4 (KJV) (the leaven of today’s teachers). You can’t judge the world nor angels 1 Cor 6:2-3 (KJV) unless you know the right laws to judge by. And it is not enough to just know the letter of the law, 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. Ex 20:14 (KJV), but you need to know why they are laws and what happens if disobeyed. 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matt 5:28 (KJV). You need to take it to heart and know that adultery causes strife, contention, and disturbs the peace of all involved and tempts others to do the same. One who loves their neighbor as themself would not want to disturb their neighbor’s peace, they are not ruled by law but by love. Those that “don’t” only because they are told “thou shalt not” easily fall to temptation because there is no conviction and are ruled by law and are condemned by law. Those that are sincere in their want for peace and truth are drawn to God because that is what God is, peace IN truth, 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:… John 6:44 (KJV) and 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. …10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:8-10 (KJV) This is what Jesus and the New Testament do, they teach the true meanings and principles of the laws that are in the Old Testament, “the spirit of the law”. Being washed in the blood of the lamb means to learn and follow the true meaning of God’s laws, especially through trials and tribulations, (which is the chastisement of God, thereby showing his love for his children, 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb 12:6 (KJV)). That blood washing also being present for those who were sincere in their walk with God since the creation of mankind, hence: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb 13:8 (KJV) and 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58 (KJV). The prophets, which includes Jesus, died BECAUSE of our sins. We (mankind) were ignorant, and our leaders were greedy, and their deeds were in darkness, and they killed the prophets because they brought those deeds to light. Jesus laid down his life FOR our salvation (John 10:17-18 (KJV)) by his blood, 20 …This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20 (KJV) that was shed for the bringing of the New Testament (true meaning to laws), this is why it said that Jesus is the only way to salvation. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Heb 9:16 (KJV). And he followed those laws as an example for us to follow, being a man and not God, showing us how to live according to the word in the flesh. 21 … because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an EXAMPLE, THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: … 1 Peter 2:21-24 (KJV). Jesus was a man primed and groomed to be our master, high priest, and the mediator between us and God. 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he BECAME the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Heb 5:8-10 (KJV). 14 Seeing then that we have a great HIGH PRIEST (not God), that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but WAS in all points TEMPTED (in contradiction to 13 … for God CANNOT be tempted with evil, …James 1:13 (KJV)) like as we are, yet without sin. Heb 4:14-15 (KJV). Two separate wills mean two separate beings. 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42 (KJV) And 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30 (KJV) And 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 1 Cor 15:28 (KJV) {By principle of this; 14 … For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14 (KJV) Jesus’ life and sacrifice can be likened to less than a finger prick if he is THE God, for God is eternal.} Take a good look at the world and you can plainly see that sin (crime) causes nothing but pain and death. To nutshell it, unless you do your very best by your love and faith to put God (the word) before all else you are not worthy of the protection that the word (law) facilitates, Matt 10:37 (KJV). And make no mistake God will not jeopardize the peace of heaven for no one. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev 21:27 (KJV) May God have mercy on his children. Amen P.S. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. … 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:15-21 (KJV) And 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:20 (KJV) And 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (KJV) To be saved you not only have to believe in Jesus, but you must believe his testament that he signed off on with his own blood. “If you love me keep my commandments”. Salvation is free to all and cannot be bought (grace), but once you accept this “grace” the bible (KJV) tells us we are to work out our own salvation by the works of our faith without wavering and not to willfully sin. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 (KJV)

It’s interesting that the Koine Greek word for forgiveness was “ἀφίημι (aphiēmi)”, which means “to send away” or “to let go”. The idea of “letting go” of “sinful” behavior by the act of replacing it with love, for example, has way different connotations than how most interpret the word “forgiven” in these contexts, which suggests one is first condemned before they can thus be forgiven, and seemingly by some potentially arbitrary moral arbitrator.

If you hold on to a block of concrete while you're in the water, you're going to fall to the bottom. But if you, hold on to a life preserver, then you're going to stay floating at the top. So having faith is not enough. Having trust is not enough. It depends what you hold on to with your trust or faith. So when we look at trust and faith, we see it's simply a connection. So if you want to have faith in God, then develop your experience of what you understand God to be, trust in that, and then look at the results that it brings you. Because if you're choosing, to hold on to a sinking ship, you're going to go to the bottom. Just because you want to float to the top doesn't mean you are going to stay afloat. You are a creator, and you must understand what you're putting into your reality.❤

Transmuting Desires Rather than suppress desires or love, Yogananda teaches that they should be transmuted. This means taking the energy behind a desire and redirecting it toward higher goals-such as spiritual growth, meditation, or service to others. Instead of desiring material things, we can desire self-realization and union with the Divine. The most powerful desire is freedom, the more god the higher goals in the desire the more powerful the more loving will feel the energy to manifest is love....

Along with ACIM, I am a student of the book "Christ Returns, Speaks his Truth, which is said to be a chanelled text from Jesus back in the early 2000s. In this book, he speaks of the verse Matt 17,20. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move a mountain, in short. He says that this was mistranslated. How can you a faith of a certain size. You have faith or you do not. What he actually said was, a seed is a small bundle of consciousness. It never fails to become what it was created to be. There is no doubt in this process. An apple seed does grow to be a weed nor does it doubt if it is capable of becoming an apple tree. If you plant what is thought to be an apple seed and a pear tree grows, would you say tgat the seed got it wrong or did you get it wrong. Therefore, if we could only have the certainty in who we are made to be in God, nothing would be impossible for us.

I am a coach to help people heal anxiety, and I have shared that there are three underlying causes of anxiety. 1. Continuing to do something we know we need to stop. 2. not doing something. We know we need to do and 3. having unprocessed emotions and trauma in our body. Even though I came to these three principles through my experience, this video gives substance to why that first one is so crucial. It also makes me wonder if this is at cause for such a rise in anxiety among Christians…. Thoughts?

Thank you Aaron your perspectives and teachings are clearly explained.I love your videos. You said you thought the sinful woman was Martha ? I think you meant that the unknown unnamed sinful woman was sometimes confused with Mary of Bethany or Mary Magdalene. Martha was Mary of Bethany's sister, I don't think it is written that she was sinful, she just make a mistake when bustling around overdoing housework and service instead of listening to Jesus' Teachings at his feet as her sister Mary did. Just wanted to emphasize this. Thanks for your dedication and good work.✨💖🙏🌹
