If they want to see you and you want to see them, always take some with you and meet them in a crowded place! That is a disturbing and heartbreaking story! In the late 80s as I was dissastisfied with the Catholic church, but not being drawn to Protestant churches I endeavoured to find the 'stripped-back' church and looked to Islam I was influenced (of all things) by a movie "Muhammed Messenger of God" (sometimes known simply as "The Message" a film from 1976 At one point I joined the Sydney University Muslim Students Asscoiation (SUMSA) As I looked into Islam even without knowing all the evil stuff I'd find out later it struck me that Muhammed preaching a different message from Jesus made it inconsistant that he was a prophet There's nothing in Jesus' teachings saying to expect another teacher after him, rather he commends his teachings to 'the church' I am now an Orthodox Christian

I think he is attracted to it; yet he is repulsed by the Calvinist doctrine of predestination, which paints God much as Allah - distant, despotic, and glory-hungry. But not all Christians accept that doctrine either.

When a faint becomes part of a larger culture a lot of people will only accept it without believing in it, simply because it's part of s larger culture. That makes the faith look bad due to a lot of people taking the name of the main religion without truly respecting or practicing it. A lot of atheists are people who were wronged by believing people, or who saw many hypocrites. It's not a strange thing that many atheists would learn about the Bible.

i grew up as a christian going to a private baptist school within the "bible belt". i openly expressed the that fact that i did not know if i believed "a" god exists but the idea that i didnt know for certain was a crazy ideology to have where im from. however, i never once feared for my safety. Ever. often times my bible teachers would question me why i feel a certain way to strum up some different thoughts within other students. the idea that someone would kill another person for leaving a religion blows my mind even where im from.

Apostasy from Islam is not considered a hudud crime.[127] Unlike in other schools, it is not obligatory to call on the apostate to repent.[7] Apostate males are to be killed, while apostate females are to be held in solitary confinement and beaten every three days till they recant and return to Islam.[128] The death penalty for apostasy from Islam is limited for those who cause aggravated robbery or grand larceny (ḥirābah) after leaving Islam, not for converting to another religion.[129] Mālikī school - allows up to ten days for recantation, after which the apostates must be killed. in my country, our teachers deliberately misinformed us since the very beginning of our education that Christians worships the statue Jesus and the cross, not what it represented. they said "just slap the statue. will it slap you back? no. because a statue has no power, but that's what they call god." like?? not only Christian, they also taught us the same about any other religion that use statue as a symbol, that they worship the statue. so glad I quit that religion

Alright I decided to change this comment from the original because I thought the original was kind of immature, but this comment has the exact some story as the original. So I was eating at lunch and this Muslim kid sat next to me. She asked me what religion I followed, and I said Christianity. (This was the 4th day of school I barely knew anyone) so this kid automatically didn’t like me anymore cause I wasn’t Muslim. I brought up some arguments Ridvan often uses on this channel to her and she kept dodging everything. She kept telling me the Bible was corrupt and that Jesus shouldn’t be worshipped. The usual Muslim argument. I answered all her questions with some things I’d picked up from David Wood, Ridvan’s best friend lol. She was still mad at me for being skeptical at Islam. So then I asked her about the Quran, why is the earth described as flat in it? And I gave her other contradictions that are described on this channel. (Yes the earth is flat in the Bible but the Bible doesn’t claim to have dropped down from heaven and be extremely perfect like the Quran) this girl couldn’t answer my flat earth objection to the Quran but she ended up getting saved by the bell. But minutes before the bell rang she warned me of hell and the dajjal coming to get me. I just told this kid to not stay biased and look at arguments against Islam, like I do with arguments against Christianity. A few months fast forward this kid still hates me. She was even proud when Andrew Tate became a Muslim and she was flexing that on me, and my Indian Christian friend sitting next to me. Her parents have also told her to hate all Indians because her parents are Pakistani. Moral of the story: dear Muslims please don’t tell your kids to go tell other people in school that they’ll go to hell unless they convert to Islam. That’s exactly what happened to me. Dear other people: the reply section here is a nightmare

You realize that Allah claimed the sun follows the moon and that it can never “reach the moon” So apparently Allah didn’t realize that eclipses are a thing. If you’re going to say that they physically don’t touch that’s also wrong because according to science our sun will become a red giant and will eventually engulf the earth so “never” must mean something else in Islam compared to everyone else who ever lived on the planet. One final thing we orbit the sun. The sun isn’t in orbit. Quran 36:40 “It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.” Yeah and if you’re thinking well at least the Quran is right about the body… it claims sperm is from between the backbone and ribs in 86:6-7. It is stated in several places in the Qur'an that the sun follows its course in the same way as the moon (Sura 14:33, 21:33). The sun also goes 'to its resting place' at the end of the day. Further, “it is not given to the sun to reach the moon, neither can the night catch up with the day.” Moreover, “they all move in a circle” (Sura 36:37-40). Of course it is not surprising that in the 7th century people thought that the earth revolves around the sun. However, it is problematic if the Qur'an claims this, when you consider the Qur'an as a divine book containing scientific truths. Seasons are determined by hell. According to Mohammed, the seasons and associated differences in temperature are caused by hell. Hell has a hot and a cold part. One day, Hell notices that both parts are consuming each other, and asks for help from Allah (Saheeh al-Bukhari 4:54:482). Allah then helps Hell by making the cold part active ('breathing') in the winter and the hot part in the summer. This is the reason why we have seasons on earth, and according to Islam this has nothing to do with the position of the earth relative to the sun, as we learned in school. Allah has created 7 heavens and 7 earths. This striking statement is found in Sura 65:12. Since there is no proof whatsoever that there are 6 heavens and earths anywhere in the universe (or beyond), Muslim apologists try to explain this differently. It is often said that the earth has 7 layers and the sky also has 7 layers or spheres (stratosphere etc.). However, this claim is demonstrably false. The Earth has 4 or 5 layers, depending on whether you see the mantle as 1 or 2 layers. Heaven has 5 spheres, so no 7. Moreover, Muhammad himself makes it clear in the hadith (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 5:44:3298) that these 7 heavens and 7 earths are one above the other with a distance between each other of each time a journey of 500 years! The moon is split in two and made one again. This particular phenomenon is mentioned in Sura 54:1-2 in the words, "The hour is approaching and the moon is split." According to the hadeeth (Saheeh al-Bukhari 4:56:832), this happened during Muhammad's lifetime. However, there is no scientific evidence that the moon ever split in two and then rejoined. In addition, there are no testimonials from other countries describing this phenomenon. Surely it is plausible that Persians, Chinese, or other peoples would have seen and written this if it were really true. Muslims sometimes refer to Cheraman Perumal, an Indian king from the Kerala area. However, this king lived two centuries after Muhammad in the ninth century, so it is impossible to have witnessed this phenomenon. Allah expels demons with shooting stars. According to the Qur'an (Sura 37:6-10), demons (jins) try to approach heaven to hear what is being spoken. However, Allah has provided the lowest of the 7 heavens with stars. When a demon approaches, Allah uses one of the stars as a shooting star (شهاب) to shoot at these demons, thus expelling them. This representation of things is problematic on several levels. First, there is no 'lowest heaven', there is only one. In addition, shooting stars are not stars, but meteorites that enter the atmosphere and burn up there. Finally, it is impossible to expel an immaterial being (a demon) with something material (a shooting star. Humans are created from a drop of fluid from between the spine/loins and the ribs. This statement is found in the Qur'an (Sura 86:6,7), and refers to the manner in which children are conceived. On closer inspection, it becomes clear that this can never be true. After all, no fluid is produced in the mentioned place of the human body, which means that children are conceived. The meaning of صلب (salb) can mean loin or spine, but in either case the statement is wrong. Muslim apologists such as Zakir Naik and Jamal Badawi make all kinds of frantic efforts to reconcile this text with current scientific knowledge, but they all contradict each other. This in itself is an indication that something is very wrong with this Quranic text. After all, Muslims have to believe it, no matter how improbable it may sound. Embryos develop in phases of 40 days. According to the Quran (Sura 22:5), embryos go through the following stages: semen/sperm, then clotted blood, and finally a lump of flesh. Each of these phases lasts 40 days according to Muhammad (Saheeh al-Bukhari 4:54:430). After these 120 days are over, a fetus is formed. An important detail is that during the last phase an angel comes and determines the gender on behalf of Allah (Saheeh al-Bukhari 8:77:594). In reality, the development of an embryo is very different. An embryo is already a fetus after 9 weeks, so after 63 days instead of 120. After 56 days all organs are already developed and there is already a recognizable human being. According to the Qur'an, the embryo is still in the second phase like congealed blood. In addition, the sex of the baby is determined immediately at conception, and not after 80 days as Islam claims. So it is clear that modern science is anything but supportive of Islam.

Literally anyone in Mecca or Madinah at that time who asked how many bones are there in a body for whatever effing reasons would have gotten the answer before the end of the same evening. My question is why is it so difficult to show proof that the Quran is indeed from God? Muhammad didnt know. How did he recognise the arc angel named Gabriel was indeed what he saw and heard from on that day? Muhammad had never seen Gabriel or an angel up until that day. Who is to say it wasnt a Jin or some other fallen beings already known to lead humans astray ? Even Gods existence remains a matter of individuals faith and believe. Trust me mate. The average muslims has no grasp of basic scientific concepts, opinions from facts nor a concept of logic even on a childs level of understanding. Its no surprise that these lot claim they and they alone happen to know which is the one true faith of the Almighty. The one they coincidentally happen to have been born into.

Textual variants do not necessarily change the meanings. Written over a period of 1500 years by more than 40 different authors yet it is in complete sync, with no central system to keep it under full control, yet still being understood as the same today is the real miracle. On the other hand, a book controlled by one authority, still being completely confusing and contradictory with historical mistakes is a joke, which you think is a miracle.

Their stories and that of Joseph are missing important details found in the originals etc.. Another example is how Islam copied the names of the angels from the Jewish texts and Arabized them. So, you end up with this odd situation where Gabriel (Hebrew: גַּבְרִיאֵל) means "God is my strength", or "God is a strong man" in Hebrew but Jibril has no meaning in Arabic.

As a Christian I appreciate this. Jesus wasn't a Muslim the same way that i don't claim that Moses or Abraham were Christians. You need something more than believing in one God to be declared to be a Muslim. There are millions of people and other prophets who believe in one God, yet in no way do I say they are/were Christians for simply believing in one God as well. You need to believe Jesus is God in order to be a Christian. Likewise you need to believe that Muhammad is a prophet/last prophet of God in order to be a Muslim.

See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded from the truth! Even those who argue for this crucifixion are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. [Qur’an 4:157]

Having studied the similarities and differences between Buddhism and Christianity with Buddhists, I agree with some that you say. There is much overlap in his teachings of lifestyle. Importance differences is that Jesus hat he would die as a sacrifice for the world, claimed to be the unique son of God, and the Only way to God. I Timothy 2:5, "There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jeus, who gave himself as a ransom." Yes, he believes in life after death, but not the samsara. Luke 7:34 Jesus was accused of being a “winebibber” because he drank plenty of alcohol. As for Jesus fasting, as you pointed out Jewish fasting and mohammadian fasting is different but it is also different in that Christians/Jews don’t gorge on as much food as they can stuff in their mouths at the start and end of the day. This is not considered a fast by Bible standards. Jesus went without food His entire fast there were no twice a day gorges. Nor were there long naps to get from one gorge to the next.

Many Muslims are going to apostate from Islam this year when the realise Allah's two right hand are The Kalimatullah and The Ruh Al-Qudus. The Kalimatullah becomes The Shin when He returns to make the world His footstool
