Hello. I am a Retired US Navy Hospital Corpsman. I too grew up with some dire circumstances In 1991, I was in Desert Strom with a big Tribe of. US Navy Seabees. Just before the ground war began, My supervisor was on the phone, yes our clinic had a phone, and was talking to his father. We all knew that in the coming days we could get killed. My supervisor was telling his dad how much he loved him and that he would do his best to stay alive. I was so jealous ! He could call his dad and I couldn't I prayed to the Lord that I had no father to call and confess that. The still small voice said to me "I am your father" After He consoled me, I was no longer fearful of that which was to come. The war ended and we all went home alive..
