I wish her luck on this new solo journey but I also wish for her to find an understanding of what her privilege allows to be passed off as “cool”, “new”, and “edgy” where as the creators were and are deemed “ghetto”, “uncultured”, and “unsophisticated”, among other things and is that a narrative she wants to contribute to further. I love Jasy ,but she is a little tooooo dark here,I will understand a little bit of tan for maybe more shine or summer y look or whatever but this is too much, how many shades she is skipping....and btw she is dark in her first video for Wings so, she is doing that a long time ago. I mean long curly hair can not really be claimed as exclusively „black“ hair. Would be different if she wore braids/corn rows/ dread locks etc. But I think the main problem is really her skin colour.
