Thank you for talking about this show. I became a Nebula subscriber and have binge watched every season as a result. It's so much better than the Amazing Race. Adam is my favorite since he's so strategic, competitive and funny but Ben, Sam, Toby and the other guests are great fun as well. Looking forward to what they have planned next. Hide & Go Seek in Switzerland has been my favorite season so far.

So now that they're friends of the pod, when is Taran or Sasha going to join Sam on a season of Jetlag? I feel like Ben is already motivated to beat Taran after he reminded everyone about the kookaburra 😆. Also, if any of the Jetlaggers happen to check the comments here, I was wondering if there were any potential seasons that went unreleased because it ended too soon or wasn't interesting, or if the games have just been well designed enough that it was never an issue

It hasn't happened yet - the Jet Lag team is pretty open about their shooting schedule and location, so fans would know if it had. There was a season (not naming it specifically due to spoilers) that nearly ended very early and the Jet Lag team discussed on their podcast how anxious that made them. They have intentionally worked to design their more recent seasons so that (a) there is no early win condition and (b) no lead should be insurmountable. In terms of being too boring, they can salvage a lot with editing - I would argue Hide and Seek was the most boring season and even that was entertaining with how they built tension and withheld information from the viewers.

@@AdamLaMore Good point, I figured as much. Even their early stuff was well designed, if easier to break. By "not interesting" I was moreso talking about game mechanics not coming together rather than the long down time solved with editing. I see what you're saying, it could've been boring, but I love that season lol. I might be biased since it was only the second season I watched all the way through and I was just impressed that they made hide and seek work across a country

Another great show that the Jet Lag crew have alluded to before as an inspiration is Game Changer, the Sam Reich-hosted Dropout exclusive. Somewhat similar to Taskmaster as a format, but even more so compared to that and Jet Lag, the game literally changes every episode! If getting into the online reality competition show space, that might be worth following next.

Besides tag, this season was definitely the best season of Jet Lag. I think a revamped hide and seek has HUGE potential though. I think hide and seek was a fantastic idea, but each hider should get two tries, I can't think of other improvements right now, but I've seen suggestions.

The women's world cup (FIFA/soccer) was in Australia and New Zealand so that might be why 37:44. That could be why, but I am not sure. I am very disappointed that Sam, Ben and Adam none of them are really into sports. I love sports.
