Hi Princess. I worked in UAE for 8 years but exactly 1 year today, I am already based in the Philippines. I just want to ask if JET will still require me to get a criminal record from UAE? I am in the process of applying for JET programme for 2022. Thanks.

What if you lived in a different country for more than 12 mos but you came back to the Phils in 2017, would it be necessary to secure a criminal history too? Just wanna be prepared too so I can do a research on how to secure one. TIA

No, they do not reinburse any expenses incurred before arriving Japan

Hi Teach. Just want to clarify one thing about the REFERENCE LETTERS sa JET PROGRAM po. Should it be "HANDWRITTEN" or "TYPED"? And one of my Referees is a Japanese student of mine in the previous ESL company kung saan nagwork po ako. Is it okay?

Yes, they'll tell you the deadline. For the criminal record, they actually give you a long period. During my time it was around a month after getting shortlisted.

sana po mapansin, pano po pag wala kong criminal record, kailangan pa rin bang iprovide at paano ko po siya makukuha? Regarding din po sa certificate of health, pag nagpacheckup po ako, magrerequest lang po ako ng certificate of health? Thank you po sa pagsagot. First time ko po kasi mag apply sa JET.

Criminal record and certificate of health will be required once you pass the interview and get shortlisted. Kahit walang criminal record, kailangan pa rin mag-submit as proof. Pwede mo siya makuha sa NBI. For certificate of health, may form sila for that na kailangan i-fill out ng physician. More information will be provided by the embassy to shortlisted candidates.
