Or we can get the health check certification by ourselves? 2. Could you tell about the percentages of people were assigned to the city and the countryside. And if I want to work in the city how can I treat to be assigned to the city. Thank you so much for your reading and sorry if causing any inconvinience! Have a nice day 😊

@neilressin214 жыл бұрын
Heyo! It says on the eligibility list that even if you're not a teacher, you're still qualified. Does the demo still implies to everyone?
@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
All those who get invited for the screening (interview) at the embassy would have to do the demo. There are no exemptions on this. The demo is important because this is how they'll know if you can actually teach. So you can see this as a chance to prove that though you're not a teacher previously, you can still handle the ALT job (which is, of course, mainly teaching).

Hello Princess. Can you give example how dates should be written in the application form ? Thanks
@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
If they didn't specify a particular format, you can go with something commonly used. I'll just go with Month Day, Year format e.g. November 11, 2020 Btw, this year's forms are slightly different from my time (2 years ago) so I'm giving opinion based on what the current form seems to suggest. No right or wrong answer. Just go with what you think can be clearly understood.

Hello. Thank you for the tips. May I ask how long did the results come out? And when was your departure?
@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
This is all based on my experience but I believe this is the typical schedule. This can however change depending on the consulate/embassy. The 2020 batch had a different experience due to the pandemic. The result for shortlisted and wait-listed applicants came out at the last week of March. That's almost 2 months after my interview. Things get really official once you get a placement which is around May. Usually shortlisted people will get a placement but there's no guarantee for wait-listed participants. Typically, most new JETs arrive on early August. Filipino JETs are never offered early departure unlike some participants in other countries.

Hello! May I ask how you got your Statement of Physician? Did you just walk in to a clinic/hospital and tell them you need it for employment purposes abroad? Thanks.
@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
I did not submit a Statement of Physician because I didn't have any medical conditions written on the Self-Report of Medical Condition. If you do have a condition that was treated or is being treated, then you can visit the doctor that gave you treatment or examination and ask for a Statement of Physician. They would know best about your medical history and treatment.

There's no fee to pay if you're applying through the JET Programme. Your expenses before arriving to Japan will be mostly for your preparation. One that costs a lot is getting the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)

@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
When I applied, I still didn't have a license but I eventually got one after I was already shortlisted. It's not required to have a driver's license. It's just one factor they use when they match for placements. But even those who don't have a license can end up in an 'inaka' (countryside). I always quite expected that I might end up in the countryside where a car is important, and I did. My contracting organization, however, expected I won't drive so they initially set me up to take public transportation and ride a bicycle.

Hello. Can you still remember how many people were there during the interview? For demonstration, is it necessary to use power point? Or it's okay to use kartolina? Haha
@PrincessAmpol4 жыл бұрын
The interviews were scheduled and spread throughout the week (I think, not sure if 2 weeks) so not everyone is there at once. Each person has their own timeslot. Maybe there were 6-8 people in the building at one time. Also, powerpoint is optional. It was my personal preference and it was allowed. Using a cartolina would be completely fine.
