So i grew up playing this game and it was one of the games i would not stop talking about as a kid. I still have my original copy too for the DC. I got it years ago on PC and now because of things like companies delisting games and taking them away its on my switch now. I even have both different version of Jet set future (one with sega gt and the original on its own) > Guitar Vader's Magical Girl is one of the first riffs i learned how to play on guitar as well and eventually the full song with other instruments. The chokehold this game has on me along with MTV's downtown (which I own a official/unofficial signed by the creator DVD copy) and mission hill is like my childhood summed up since as a kid my parents kinda let me watch and do whatever i wanted cause I never got in any trouble or did anything bad. fast forward to last year when Bomb rush Cyberfunk came out and it was like it all came back to me the same feeling I had when I was playing JSR the first time.

@@CIRCLEKELDEREMO When I learned about bomb rush cyberfunk it was a year or so before it came out. I think I play it's soundtrack almost as much or maybe even MORE than JSR/JSRF. Hell, I listened to it today before work lmao. I never finished BRCF unfortunately, but I think I would love to do a video about it one day outside of this series of videos. Thank you for sharing your memories around JSR, it's one of the reasons I make these, I want to make a small little place for nostalgia to thrive and maybe even create some new memories while I go back and see how I feel about them now that I'm not a youngster anymore lmao.

@@pendulumcrow Its worth it to complete it. The soundtrack is killer. I mean they got Hideki Naganuma to do some songs for it too which is crazy. I learned about it in 2021 and I waited for it. I think the only other game I waited longer for was Stray (which if you havent checked that out its AMAZING) back in 2015. I think the actual JSR3 if it does come out has a lot to live up to with the originals and BRCF capturing the feeling of the series so well. Tell me about it, Goldfinger's superman hits A LOT different now than when I was a kid playing THPS1+2 remaster

Glad to see this game get some videos discussing it. I got Jet Grind Radio for the Dreamcast as a birthday gift for probably my 7th or 8th birthday from my friend. Haven't thought about it in years.

I may not have been sentient enough yet to see its first release, but it definitely has had an impact on my life especially influencing my music tastes. Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch!

I'm still pissed that they delisted it. I already own it but I'm angry that others won't get the chance to play it legally.

@@FoxWasHere Agree with you, 100% I hope maybe one day they will reverse their decision. But I won't hold my breath.

Your analysis of the game is very good, but that beginning section is a total trainwreck, to be completely real(playing JSR on the original Xbox? wut). Getting through it was worth it though, this analysis is better than an average gamer's opinion on this game, which is refreshing

@@dedtoot Yes, I guess I had started with JSRF on the original Xbox. I knew that, for some reason I didn't re edit my script to reflect as such. I guess I was having such a hell of a time re-recording the last half of the footage that I wasn't as thorough making edits to my script. Thank you for your comment, it helps remind me I need to spend an equal amount of time on ALL aspects of video creation. Hope you have a great rest of your year!

Your childhood was a lie, that was a different game you were playing on Xbox, it wasn't Jet Set Radio.
