It was SEGA’s fault the game sucked since they wanted to release the game on the 15th anniversary so they didn’t have enough time to fix the issues, then erased that game out of existence from their backstory. Don’t believe me? Watch Clement’s Sonic ‘06 review video and his "Sonic Generations (Part 11)" for you to find out. He even said "When people say that Sonic ‘06 is better than Rise Of Lyric, that’s when I lose my shit. If you like Sonic ‘06, whatever. I’ll never understand you, you’re a weird alien creature to me, but I don’t have will against you."

I haven't honestly kept track. Prices change over time and I've learned it has to be done slowly but surely over time and not too fast as so to afford your other expenses still. I'd say maybe $2000?

Sonic and Knuckles is actually a little more substantial than that. It's actually the second half of Sonic 3. The game got split in half during development due to time crunch, the first half of being Sonic 3, the second half of being Sonic and Knuckles. The cartridge port was primarily made so that you could connect to both games to act as one game, like they were intended to be from the beginning. The full game is "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" Allowing you to play Knuckles in Sonic 2 was just a bonus thing they added.

Plugging in Sonic 3 into Sonic & Knuckles wouldnt just allow you to play Knuckles. it creates Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which is the definitive version of both games, considered to be the 'real' Sonic 3. You are right about sonic 2 though

Yes and no. Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, while nearly the same game, are NOT the same game due to graphical upgrades and unlockable content differences. So, no... Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the Gamecube was *not* Shadow's first game. It was Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast.

Sonic 3 already has Knuckkes as a playable character. It was his first game. The Sonic & Knuckles cartridge adds on additional levels to the game. Adding Sonic 2, simply adds Knuckkes as a playable character in Sonic 2.
