Good afternoon, I have a 1996 Seadoo GTI. This jet ski has not been ran in a few years. I put fresh fuel in it and a new battery. I put it in the water and it will only go about 25-30 mph. Any ideas where I should start to narrow down the issue? Maybe a check valve? Thank you in advance!

Going to have to look into this. I have a pair of yamaha vx limited 2020's and one of them rough idles and bogs down when I give it throttle. Stupid shop said it was spark plugs. 160$ later, the thing still acting up. So Now i'm researching it on my own to see what the heck.

@@Real_on I got it. It was my fuel selector. It wasnt getting enough fuel cuz the selector was leaking air

Does a 1994 seadoo sp have one? It was runing good and strong but after holding it open full throttle it looses power after a little bit and will die if i let off throttle for it to idle. Then when going slow it will eventually go full throttle again almost seems its starving for fuel .. Any ideas ??

CAL n9ne16 Thanks for watching & it should. Your ski is a 2-stroke correct? This part is extremely important to the efficiency of your vacuum system performance & reliability. Also, this is common when the ever so slightest imbalance of fuel-to-oil mixture occurs. Adding the proper fuel-to-oil mixture is important. @@DIYwithMichaelBorders yes it is a 2 stroke, it mixes it self. I have heard of people bypassing that and pre mixing tho. I honestly dont know what is wrong with it it ran good, let it sit a year or so and when i took it out it ran good at first. But now it seems like its almost starving for fuel when held full throttle for a while.

What is the direction of the air intake, towards the solenoid or towards the engine? TIA
