It’s time. The Big Wave season is upon us. For anyone seeking heart-pounding action, this is where we get to witness a committed community of hard-charging men and women push the boundaries of what’s possible on every single ride. This season features two potential events, including the sport’s prestigious paddle-only event at the Quiksilver Jaws Big Wave Challenge and a heart-pounding, non-stop tow event at the Nazaré Tow Surfing Challenge presented by Jogos Santa Casa. The event windows are open from today through March 31, 2022.

Kai just had to do that 360 chop hop. it put him behind the section because he was flying down the face of that wave. All the weights in the stringer couldn't keep that board on the water.

It was a bad idea K. Lenny tried to manage that ski in the shore break, that ski would easily crush him and he is never going to gain control of that ski with his little body in that type of senario, he is very fortunate he did not get seriously injured in that save the ski attempt... Im a Kai fan by the way....

I'm happy I never experience that kind of big wave in my life😂 in my country I'm very thankful we cannot experience that kind of big wave I don't want to see big wave like Hawaii and also in portugal because I'm scared of big wave and also if sea is deep because I have phobia on sea because I remember I swim before in pool no one helping me to get out in deep pool thankful to my guardian angel he help me get out in deep pool😰

Trying to wrangle the ski in the shore pound is a really bad idea, dont do that Kai your worth more than that ski just let it go. If the ski flipped over and pinned him against the sand this would be a tragedy and its all just luck and the whims of the spin cycle in there. So glad nothing bad happened, that was super sketchy!

I really dont understand why people dont hire professional jet ski rescuers. These guys make the biggest mistakes in the worst times. Was a jet ski rescuer for years and I wish they would hire better operators.

Most of them if not all are big wave surfers too cause they have to tow them into the best spot on the wave, but agree a bit careless sometimes. That wave is an umpredictable monster, especially if going right.

@@monteira77 yeah im a surfer too and have done tow ins as well but the operator shouldnt be someone whos switching on or off. Surfers are the best at reading waves but to apply that to the skills you need on the ski are totally different. Pro surfers are NOT pro jet ski operators.
